Talking it out with DS, we got #1¡ WooHoo! #2 is still eluding me, and still not sure I'm right on #3. Bad news, though: the coffee is done, now it's time for wine, which will either loosen my thinking or put me in a fog!

I just got #1 and it's a light bulb moment. If you don't have it yet you're going to groan at the fact that you didn't get it.

Sometimes it really helps to talk it out with someone. DS’s writing tutor called it the Rubber Duck System. If you don’t have a person to talk to, talk to a rubber ducky. Or the like. It kinda works!

I only have number 4 and I have no clue about the others. I thought I was so smart getting them all two or three times in a row. This has brought me down a peg.

This one‘s a doozy for me. I’ve got 4 and 5, maybe 1, nothing for 3 and 3.

#3 is a phrase. Think of the placement for the third one, vs the other two. They are together he isn't.

From that hint I can get something for #3 unless the bigger letters in the third man mean something - then nope.

One subtle hint for #2 please! One word maybe?

I'm going to talk it out a little here. I'm thinking the answer involves two or pair. The letters in that order can be pronounced two ways, for pain or for facial hair, though I suspect it's the former. But what is the slant, slash, rise, hill, slope, cut off, what does that indicate?

Jasdip, you are wicked! (Not really) I can think of 3 different meanings for split, and alternative words for those meanings, right off the bat lol!

I did not get partakes. For number 4 I had - The one in my life but for once... makes way more sense.
