I only grow a few Alba roses, but I’d grow them all if I had the space, time and energy for more roses. My Albas are some of my loveliest, easiest and most fragrant roses. They thrive on little more than initial minimal clay soil amendment, extra water during the dry season, a bit of annual deadwood removal and pruning once every few years to keep them in bounds in my itty bitty garden. They produce perfect pastel complementary blooms next to my darkly mysterious Gallicas. I currently grow Rosa alba ‘Semi Plena’, ‘Madame Plantier’ (sold as ‘Armide’), ‘Felicite Parmentier’, ‘Konigen von Danemark’ and ‘Maiden’s Blush’. Here are some shots of ‘Maiden’s Blush’ to start the rose photos rolling. Please jump in if you have some to share! Carol
