I finally got a picture of Samsational that shows its color accurately. It is one bright flower. I imagine it would be 'all the rage' if it were widely available in the U. S. Bob wanted Sun Giant because we saw it in Trimmer's garden in Florida. It was 4 feet tall with very large flowers. The flowers are large here too, but it obviously doesn't like our climate much. Tech Colors has finally bloomed for us. This plant started out the year very puny but seems to be making a comeback. The first Tech Colors we had turned out to be something else. Finally we have the right one. The Dentist did so well last year and then this year started out puny also. It seems to be doing better. This is it's normal time to start blooming We didn't have time to take pictures of many seedlings, but we did take a few. Here is the seedling Queen for today. It is Susan Ruoff X Carrots Forever. As you might imagine, Bob loves this one. I might have shown this one before, but it makes me happy so I'll show it again. It is Sonoran Desert Rose X Crimson Stories. Houzz just told me my post was too long so I deleted a couple of pictures. I'll put them on later. Nancy

I thought Electric Snake would be registered as a spider, but it's not. Still the petals on this one are some of the narrowest in the garden. It's not often you see a five way poly. This is Evermore Greatful. Last Man Standing is a great grower for us. It's scapes are taller than its registered 26 inches tall. Please forgive the hand. Another scape was pinching the big bloom on Orange Skies. Raggedy Man is one of our favorite lates. It just started blooming. We dabble with hybridizing striped daylilies. This is Ruby Grandeur X Explosion in the Paint Factory. I would prefer to cross two striped ones, but since I have only one tet striped one, I am force to cross it with solid color, hoping to see some stripes. The bottom flower shows some broken color. Kate, our highest number was 3400, but that is just too many. We have just under 1200 this year. We have to be careful because we are running out of space. As the years go on, we also need more space for the selected seedlings. I think we have about 600 of them. We really need to downsize the named varieties, and we are working on it slowly. Bob and I have always planted all of our seeds, but we may have to do what some do which is select what we feel are the best crosses and plant only those.

I've always liked the color on Sea of Cinders. Ultimate Design has the perfect form I have come to expect from a Maryott daylily.........My Tet E Tete small cupped daffodils are having their spring conversation now and the Henbit is just beginning to show it's purple flowers in my yard. The weeds always lead the way to spring...........Maryl
