Help! What hinges fit my 25 year cabinet doors??

I would like to update my cabinets by replacing the hinges to be concealed hinges. I've looked and looked and can't seem to find the type of hinges that I need for my cabinet type. Per the pics I've currently got a 5/16 inlay (I think that's what its called??) inside the door, and the actual frame of the cabinet that the hinge needs to attach to is 3/4". Can anyone help me figure out which hinges I need to buy to turn these into concealed hinges?

If you are close to Dallas,Plano or McKinney,contact Elliot's Hardware. If you don't have real hardware and cabinet hardware outlets near by,contact Blums and/or Amerock to find one of their dealers.

I needed to replace some 1985-vintage hinges (all 187 of them!) to avoid replacing cabinet doors or scraping paint off the old hinges. After long hours searching the internet and many trips to various hardware stores with no success, I FINALLY found someone who recognized the hinge and ordered new ones for me. My hinge is different from yours, but the style is similar in that the doors have cutouts to accommodate the hinge that were unique and required just the right hinge shape and size. I found my hinge guy at one of the family-owned, old-fashioned hardware stores. You should still be able to find a few of those stores in your area. Ask for their "hinge expert" and hope they direct you to someone who has worked there for many years. Good luck!

Thank you all for your replies and suggestions, especially the reassurance that mixed finishes is not at all unheard of. I went to the store and purchased some Rub n Buff to test. I have never heard of this stuff! I also bought antique brass and bright brass hardware at Home Depot to try spray on, too. Once I showed it to my husband, he said that if we were going to take the time to hand apply the rub n buff wax paint that it might be better and less time consuming to just spray all the hinges instead. Then he spoke to a friend at work who used Rustoleum metallic spray for all his hardware and that it turned out great. I had mentioned spray painting before to him, but his reaction was that it would not work long term due to the movement of the hinges. From what I have also read online, if you do several light coats, followed by a clear sealer topcoat, the finish lasts a lot longer, so we may go this route in the end. We have decided we aren't going to rush this. We are going to consult with a carpenter to get a quote for new cab doors and drawer fronts just to see what it would cost for a new style. I'm suspecting it is more than we can spend right now. If it is, then I will spray paint or rub n buff the hinges so that they "hide" into the espresso stain finish and then decide what color knobs to buy. Then I will re-finish all the bright brass on interior doors, so I will be left with only two finishes around the house... I hope! "... and it sounds like an airplane taking off at times." Kath, the Whirlpool washer I mentioned did that. It was so loud that our neighbor could hear it! It finally started spitting out oil from underneath. The repair tech that came to look at it said water would be the next thing to leak out. Sure enough, it did. The repair cost was $600, and he advised me to just buy a new one. That's not to say yours will do the same thing. I have friends with loud washers that didn't start leaking oil or water. Some are just loud...period. For your fridge, some people here on Houzz have mentioned problems with the gray/black finish scratching easily. You might check into that, although they could look nice with white cabinets. Also, who's to know if that color will still be available if/when you need to replace an appliance. That's not an issue with white or stainless. If you don't like stainless, white could work. However, it can be hard to match white appliances and white cabinets. Appliance white is pretty stark and can often look "off" with the white most people want for cabinets. Just something to think about.

Taking into consideration your comments and suggestion, I took a much closer look at all the hinges - new and old. Some of the Liberty hinges are not sitting as tight at the inset as the old hinges. The outside of the hinge that screws to the cabinet is also off slightly which is why a shadow of the old hinge is visable. Additionally, the entire hinge sits farther away from the doors than the older hinges. All of these variances are very slight, but when combined they make a hugh difference. Oddly enough, not all of the new hinges fit the same, hence being lucky with the first two I bought. Even though they must stamp out these hinges, they are not the same. The question still remains as to what I am going to do. I called Amerock and they said they would consider sending me samples to try. A representative from one of the local kitchen cabinet companies at the home show yesterday recommended a local hinge company. I am going to go there to see if they can identify the manufacturer of the old hinges and can offer up a better replacement. Internet searches have still not provided any identification of the old hinge manufacturer's logo. Please let me know if you can think of any other ideas or suggestions.

HU-469669671 - My house was built in 1995. So cabinets are 26 years old. I don't think the hinges in your link will work bc they require a piece of wood that is 90 degrees behind the face frame to drill the hinge into. If you look at my pics, I don't have that. Just the face frame. So I need a hinge that will attach to that.

klem1 - I'm not close to Dallas. I've looked up hardware stores by me, but all I get is places that sell plumbing and other supplies. Was thinking online might be my best bet. I could buy new doors, but would still run into to issue of finding a hinge that attaches to the face frame, and not a piece of wood that is 90 degrees behind it and that will fit the inlay inside the door. Like the pic below but my cabinet door has a 5/16 inlay.

I would replace the painted over hinges with new hinges of the same style. I sure would not spend $50 per door for specialty Euro hinges. Euro hinges that open only 110 degrees. The hinges you have now will open more than that. Plus the problem of filling screw holes from the old hinges, sanding, filling, priming & painting the face frame.

Replacing with hidden hinges does not gain you any function. Rather, it would be a minus, minus, minus. Cost of the hinges plus installation & repair to face frame, Euro hinges that don't open as wide, space that the hinges require inside the cabinets which could interfere with function of roll out shelves, etc. (if you have those.)

If you would like a slightly different look, these hinges might work:

Thanks for the suggestions. We confirmed with a cabinet maker that we cannot put hidden hinges on our doors, so just leaving them alone. Maybe one day we will put new doors on but not in the budget now. Thanks for everyone’s input!!
