Comfortable Freestanding Tub

I love having a tub and it is something I want to get right in our new build master bath. But I'm having a hard time finding a comfortable freestanding tub. We live in a major city but the stores usually only have a few models. Most have straight backs (I guess so they look cool?) that are horribly uncomfortable. Can anyone recommend a comfortable freestanding tub? We will have a faucet coming from the wall along with a built in shelf for holding bath stuff, fyi, so that is not a concern. Thanks!

We just bought our Dynasty Spa - Neptune - Atlantis model with all the bells and whistles!!! and we love it!! We live in Nashville Tn and the spa is manufactured here so we felt very comfortable with our purchase and the history of the company. I think it is the only spa that has a 3 pump system and had the most foot room at the bottom. We shopped around for a while and you really need to get in them and try them out as far as how you sit in them. My husband is 6'5 and this was really the only spa that would accomidate his height and suit me as well. We filled it 2 weeks ago and I have been in it every change I get, the thermostate is set on 93 and its really nice even in this kind of heat. Shop around and I think you will see that this is a very nice spa that is in a leauge of its own. Im not a sales rep, Im just very satified with our choice!! I have the nature2 system to sablize the water. Its a small tube that fits in the filter of your spa and reacts for 3 months. When we get out of the spa I put a cap full of the sani-spa and the chemicals have been good so far. Good Luck

Definitely go to the showrooms. I think finding the right tub is very personal. Something I found to be an issue was sharp edges that hurt my arms when I climbed out. We ended up going for a traditional rolled top. We got the Victoria and Albert York tub. I've been very happy with it, and so has my super tall husband. I've become a bather again, and have a hard time deciding between a bath or shower in our new bathroom because I love them both so much. i should add that despite my advanced age of 45, I have no problems climbing in and out of the bathtub.

Well, the pictures didn't load.. And, disclosure, I don't have a wet room...but I think they're a great way to have a tub and shower in a space that otherwise wouldn't allow for them (if you don't want the shower in the tub). From what I understand, it will feel cold...both because of the size of the space, and also because you will only have a panel....so I would do lots of research on the best heating for that kind of room..
