my seed list was last updated 12/7/14. some seeds have been traded/used since then. but I have not found the magic link to update my list. can email current list to anyone interested.

Just checking back in for Scorp's email address, I got it bounced back. Gee, I was going to give her the benefit of the doubt and even emailed her saying it came across weird and sorry for the misunderstanding. I haven't heard back. But at least there are some people on the santa swap thread who do realize what a generous group there is here. Please don't let 1 person keep you from helping another. We have a common goal here, to give a grieving father something to smile for, even briefly, at the holidays. I will have to use Gardenweb's email to send address to people, the list is actually above in dmkelly's post Nov 16 18:09. Let me know if you want the address. I'm really sorry for all the unpleasantness.

If the weevils are inside the containers, they're sure to be outside them on your shelves, too. Empty out all your storage area, and wipe over all surfaces (top, bottom, sides) with a tea made from basil leaves, or bay leaves, or peppercorns, or feverfew leaves, or pyrethrum flowers, or garlic, or commercial neem. This will kill off any stray eggs. Discard any foods that have been contaminated. Put them into plastic bags, seal tightly, and put into the bin. You can freeze, microwave or bake weevils to kill them off, but you can't get rid of the dead bodies, or their faeces, so there's no way I'd eat infested foods! I draw the line at eating poo! Clean out the containers by washing in any of the teas mentioned above, or as usual. You can use the essential oils of the herbs in the washing/rinsing water instead of using the tea if you haven't got the fresh herbs. I have my own bay tree, so I have a limitless supply of leaves. I put them into every container, and also scatter them on shelves. Peppercorns work in much the same way. Store your flour, pasta, rice, oats, cereals etc in airtight containers. Never, ever store anything in cardboard packaging once it's opened. Make your own weevil deterrent sachets to put in pantry shelves: Place cloves of unpeeled garlic on a baking tray in a warm oven for about an hour. Combine with crushed bay leaves and place in small muslin bags. Scatter sachets in cupboards and amongst food, or inside large containers of food.

Sheesharee, my DH and I are just getting ready to finish the built-in storage in our two closets, which are about the same dimensions as yours. We are doing L-shaped storage, that is, along two walls, so there's enough room to comfortably stand/dress in there. We're doing built-in stacks of shoe/sweater shelves, with double hanging bars on one wall and singles on the other. The empty wall will have hooks for robes, belts, etc. Each closet will also have a rolling laundry hamper we can easily roll down the hall to the washer/dryer area. I carefully planned it all out depending on the measurements of what we each need to store. It will probably end up costing us about $250 in materials by the time we're done. I'll try to post some photos once the main component are installed, and then later (hopefully by next weekend!) when it's all painted and has clothes in it :) We have been living out of piles and remote closets and basement boxes for over a year now since we had to gut this part of the house due to a mold problem and bathroom renovation. It's been so frustrating not knowing where stuff is. I am sooooooooooo looking forward to having nice, organized closets!
