Comments (4)Jel 48, please don't respond to any phone requests as they're all scams. If someone legit (ss, fbi, police dept, bank of any kind, etc.,) really needed to contact you, they would send you a snail-mail letter. I'm glad you didn't fall for it. I wonder how those people who run these things sleep at night....See MorePossible phone scam - has anyone had one of these?
Comments (14)Giving out your number isn't the problem. They use auto-dialers, they just go down the list. I have 2 cell phones and home line listed with Do not call. When I get a number I don't recognize, I don't answer. I can then use the info saved by phone logs, to enter that info on Do Not call.gov and turn them in. I got a call at 5 to 7 in the morning, didn't have my glasses on, so I answered it. Robo call in Spanish. will add that one when I go to Do Not Call. I wait a week, and add several calls a week. I read somewhere, it's better to not answer if you don't recognize the call number, they will not keep calling a number that doesn't answer....See MoreOdd Call, Great Surprise
Comments (7)Believe me....when you have nice neighbors and get along well with them...you are Blessed. There seems to be so much bickering between so many of the tenants in our Apt bldg, I mostly keep to myself. But last spring one of the neighbors did such a beautiful thing for us. He lived in a 2 br downstairs and we were in a 2 br up, and were trying very hard to find a main floor 2 br apt in the cluster of 3 small towns where we live. There was an empty 2 br next to us up, and he offered to move up there, so we could take his apt. After the move was over, we ordered a nice gift box for him from Omaha Steaks. He likes to BBQ so he was real pleased. Like I said a friendly relationship with one's neighbors is a treasure. Steve, yours was a nice story to read about this morning....See More
