my laundry room is top Pictures. my vision at bottom. I’m replacing floor w a patterned tile - I want a white clean look . I’m wondering if I should paint the back wall all a tad darker a shade I’ll pick from tile or because there’s a ledge there should I paint the bottom all the way around the darker and the top all white

I don't see a ledge? You can certainly paint the back wall darker to get closer to your inspo pic.

Ah, see it now. Well, painting that wall two different colours will emphasize the ledge. I'd paint the wall all one colour.
