I am a beginner gardener. I need some advice, please!

Assuming you did harden off the other herbs (if not, that's the trouble), the problem could be your potting soil. Herbs tend to like very well drained soil that's on the lean side nutritionally. So, if say, you used Miracle Gro potting soil with moisture control and fertilizer, the soil is staying too wet and the plants are getting too much feed. Back off the water first. Make sure the soil is nearly dry before you water. That may be enough for them to perk up. Next time, buy the straight Miracle Grow potting soil without the moisture control. (The fertilizer will leach out of the soil in a few weeks.) Arkansas Traveler is a really big tomato vine. You need a really big pot to grow it in: 18 inches wide and deep at least. If that's not the trouble, it may be hungry. Tomatoes in pots need regular (weekly or at least every other) fertilizer, and of course, they need consistent moisture. Don't ever let the pot go completely dry. The bigger the pot, the longer it stays moist... The pepper will be fine in your all day sun. Feed and water it just like the tomato. As the weather gets even hotter, it will do even better....See MoreI am unhappy and my marrige is awful...what should i do?

Cheating starts in the heart....look up what "Covet" means. Why is he even spending time with a married woman? If your husband was doing the same "non cheating" with a woman what would you think? I mean, physical sex aside, it sounds like you are considering maybe someday marrying this "perfect" guy...that must fall into some sort of cheating. Right? I don't care if you even believe in God, but you brought up the Christian part, again, not us. And, your story seems to get worse depending on how defensive you get. At first, your husband never laid a hand on you or his real kids, now it appears you are "abused and beat". Which is it? And by the way, none of God's Christian laws that I know of say anything about "THOU must be Happy"....you may "THINK" and "HOPE" God wants you to be happy because you want it, but it has never been one of his laws. Happiness is often found in the next life, not this one. Of course, no one wants you or your kids to be abused unmercibly, but you should be working on resolving your problems one way or another WITHOUT another man in your life. I know you want to hear..."Your husband is so awful, so go be with the man of your dreams and live a wonderful happily ever after life that you deserve"....but that's probably not going to happen no matter how much you want it. I have friends that have done and thought the exact same way you did, and you may think I am trying to be mean and hurtful, but I really am trying to help you. Things just won't turn out all rosy like you think, no matter how much you hope or think you deserve it. Believe it or not, I really am trying to help you and your kids. I could recommend some books about living with people with chronic pain, even abuse, etc... but it doesn't sound like you're interested in anything but approval to do what you want to do. Sorry, you don't like my advice. But sometimes the hardest things to hear are those that are true....See MoreHow should I prune/train my grape in container? Beginner!
Comments (4)Are you going to keep it in a container? If so, what do you plan to train or trellis it to? i.e., you can set the pot next to a fence or trellis and leave it there, or you can put a small trellis structure IN the pot and train to that so that the pot can be relocated any time, or you can just keep it in the pot and keep it trimmed as needed. Grapes grow quickly when they're in the ground... not sure how they'll do growing in a pot....See MoreWhat should I do to update this fireplace if anything?

There is a step down into the living area from dining and main hall so if swapped sectional it would close off access to the room. Off of main hall. I am attaching other photos. There is a weird sink cabinet area in living (house was built in the 80s). I need to figure that out eventually. The end table is too big by the fireplace. I totally agree. We do need a small table there since it has our modem, cable box, security system and cordless phone on it and they can’t be moved due to wiring. As far as the pendant light goes. That was my original thought but instead choice a more practical idea with very large ceiling fan. Although the pendant light would look better design wise. This space had popcorn ceilings and no recessed lights And was bright yellow when we bought it. The kitchen and dining had track lighting. So we made quite a few changes but most of the changes went to our bathrooms....See MoreHighColdDesert
