Our family/great room is going to look something very similar to this, but with a two story stone fireplace. My question is, should we put the tv above the fireplace, or add a media center.

We are going to do a large 12 person table in between the kitchen and family room, so would we want to be able to see the tv, or would it look too busy having the fireplace and then the media center on another wall.

Also, the fireplace will be the main focal point- with two French doors going outside on each side of the fireplace. So we don’t want to block those with furniture.

If anyone has any furniture layout advice that’s also helpful!
