To me, spring is as colorful as fall...the trees are coming into bloom now...

My laceleaf maple trees survived another winter. We had a beautiful red Japanese Laceleaf maple at our other home and I found these teeny seedlings growing between the bricks in the sidewalk next to it. They were a few inches tall and only had a few leaves. They're now 7 years old and I'm not sure what they'll ultimately grow up to be - not red that's for sure. At the rate they're growing they'll outlive me by the time they're mature.

Nickel, dandelions are good for bees too. But yeah, they can take over, and those puff balls!!

yes, good for bees and also rabbits like dandelion greens, so they are more likely to leave your real garden alone :-)
