Utah...on a motorcycle. Traveling all over the USA on our motorcycle in the 1990's was the best of times, especially Utah. Would so love to be able to do it all over again.

To a place that brings back fond memories - an idyllic little cottage on the west coast of Ireland where my son and I stayed.

vacation up to two years ago.

Inverness, Scotland

Florence, Italy. We spent 3 weeks in Italy, and Florence was my very favorite.

Me, diving around a shipwreck in St Croix.(DH took the photo) We depart from San Juan.

While I would love to go back to Hawaii, Paris, Rome and Ireland, most of those pictures are pre-digital so I will share a picture from Key West, Florida. I would be happy to go back there anytime.

woodrose, it is beautiful there. We spent a couple of nights in a small inn run by a couple that prepared our meals and ran the place. Husband, daughter, son-in-law and I took a private tour of Ireland in 2019. That was the view right outside the door.

Yellowstone. This time I want to stay in the lodge instead of camping.

One of our very favorite places to go and to hike. Bryce Canyon NP. The views from the top and the bottom cannot be beat and change with every turn in the trail

Roxsol - lucky you - what a wonderful place to spend a few nights. We were in Glengarriff which is only about 30 minutes from St. Finbar's and were hoping to visit but the weather didn't cooperate so we by-passed it. It's on my list the next time I go back.

I also hope everybody gets to go back to their favourite places :) There are so many wonderful things to see in the world.

Thank you Outside for the photo of Bryce. It was the most beautiful spot on earth I've ever been. I'd love to go back. When we were there, we took horses into the canyon...easier than hiking...but scarier too!

Annie, yes! The horse ride was great as it let your eyes look up rather than focus down on the trail all the time. Highly recommend if anyone is going but make your plans early. We later hiked the most of the same path but in reverse and truly enjoyed it again.

And thank you to all who posted photos of our other favorite place, Ireland. We are so glad we went last fall (2019) and have talked about when we could go back and spend more time in some of the areas we enjoyed.

Outside and Annie - where is "NP"?

You didn't offer much specific about location, nickel - do I assume that it was somewhere in the 48, (50?)?

Or, likely improbable, given the name, abroad?

I would think it stands for National Park, joyfulguy.

(There are National Parks all over the world but Bryce is in the USA, (Utah) )

OJ - the NP refers to National Park - they're part of the US National Park system.

joyful, it's an old rail road tunnel, in (under) the Blue Ridge mountains, in Virginia. Near the south end of Shenandoah National Park and the north end of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Built mostly by Irish immigrants, about 1849 to 1858. Some enslaved African Americans also worked on it, but they were too valuable for their owners [distasteful to even say 'owners' but that's how it was] to risk on the most dangerous jobs, so that's why the Irish were brought in. The tunnel is over 4,000 foot long. No lights!

I agree that Bryce is astounding. I have been fortunate to visit many national parks, but Bryce was incredible. Adored Ireland, too!
