What brand is this 1930s(?) dining set?

I’m hoping to pick up this set today. It’s oak and seems to be 1930s era from what I’ve seen in comparable items.

The only label on it is mostly illegible.

There‘s either floral or fruit engravings on each chair and on the dining table. The dining table has two leaves and can extend from 36” long to 60” and is 33” wide.

Can’t help with brand but certainly is vintage. I have an oak “draw leaf” table which has 4 legs instead of center trestle & which we bought @ 20 years ago & when we lived in another house. We were told 50’s era & ours from UK. We got 4 chairs styled just like yours but with a pressed design in back & original leather seats that were unusable so we had new seats made. Here’s pic of chair which we now use in dining area. The table is now our game / puzzle table in our upstairs bonus room. That 36” square size is so useful!

Hard to say for sure, many companies have done that look over the last 20 years. I'd have to guess Dinaire (out of business) or Hollywoods, but it could be one of a dozen other companies. Look under the chairs, you may find it there. Good Luck!

New floorplan for 1930's Spanish bungalow — help!

Update: after consulting with multiple architects and structural engineers, here's our finalized new floorplan. As many people suggested to me, we are only removing one wall, the wall between the kitchen and what was previously bedroom #1. The kitchen stays where it is. We'll be adding in 12 ft wide glass patio doors from the new family room to the backyard, as well as opening up a 3 ft wide arched doorway from the entry to the family room. This arched doorway will match the one on the left that leads from the entry into the hallway. That way as soon as you walk into the house, you will have a line of sight through the family room into the backyard. I think with these changes the public areas of the house should feel more open and light-filed, while still maintaining the original feel of the house. The only other major change we are making is to split what was previously one gigantic master bathroom into 2, so now we have two ensuite bathrooms (https://www.houzz.com/discussions/gigantic-master-bathroom-or-2-ensuite-bedrooms-dsvw-vd~5234032). All of the rest of the remodeling changes are cosmetic, like changing out kitchen cabinets / countertops / floor tiles / bathroom vanities. Thanks so much for everyone's feedback and thoughts! Hi Claire, thanks for thinking about my layout issue, and thanks also for the feedback! Yes, I am using sketchup. What program did you use to draw on my jpg? I wouldn't necessarily mind turning that staircase if the benefits outweigh the drawbracks, but I'm not sure what I would do with the rest of the layout, and I would also have to turn the basement stairs (there is a half staircase from the garage to the basement directly underneath the stairs currently in the living room) and the headroom for the new stair orientation would have to come from an upstairs closet (there is a bedroom above most of the current living & dining rooms). Also, the length of the wall where you wrote "open" is only 3' 1" (from the beginning of the stairs to the dining room wall). Our upstairs hallway is 3' wide and it seems very narrow.

I love all the details in your chairs legs and at the top! These aren’t my usual style, but I’m finding that the more I look at this dining set and style, the more I like it.

Is each engraving different? Cute set.

No guessing what the brand is but it looks like it may be Mission or Arts & Craft in styling. Someone on the Antiques forum may be able to tell you more.

@maddielee yes each engraving is different, which is one of the reasons I love it! It reminds me so much of a similar set my grandma had. Thanks for the tip!

The vintage look was what we like - furniture with a story! the table fit a small kitchen nook in our last house. We’ve had the top refinished twice so it got lots of use. I see the wear / dirt marks on your table too where a person’s arms rest while reading the paper at table - just like we put on ours. The table top on yours looks in good shape. FYi, the entire top likely comes off - easier to move that way. Looks like yours has same design on chair backs & table legs so might be matched set. Here’s my table with one leaf pulled out. Ypu can see the beauty of the wood when refinished. That’s the appeal of old furniture for me - the wood!
