Fun ways to interpret "buds"! I'll stick with plant-based:

Calycanthus floridus, common name Sweetshrub

Turtle buds eating cantaloupe in my back yard.

Tomorrow I will share this flower fully opened.

Unopened Cotton Bolls (buds) in the foreground.

All my on line buds are so creative with the term "buds"! You guys are the best "buds!"

Here are some of my buds now though...

Daffodils planted along the roadside getting ready to pop.

Wisteria buds

Red bud planted last fall, didn't look too hot, but it seems to have survived the winter and is growing now. Yeah!

Dendrobium orchid buds. This is one I traded @ the orchid store. It was out of bloom when I got it.

Azalea buds

Crabapple almost there...

Asiatic lily and ice cream sundae tulips still in bud. They've opened now.

This is so annoying that the photo crops itself. You have to click on it to see what it really looks like. This is so frustrating!!!

lgmd, is that lamium, the one with the white on the leaves? I just planted some, had no idea it would take over like that!

Yes that's lamium. I have some but it's very sensitive to sunlight and does much better in the deep shade for me.

Socks, it is Lamium, and it does spread. Not terribly aggressive, it tends to shy away from too much sun. The plain green one (Anne Greenway) seems to sunburn more and doesn't spread as much as Orchid Frost the light leaved one. I like it in a shady corner on the west side foundation plantings. A near by tree shades it there.

I find if I'm in KT using the GW URL the photos are not cropped, but if you use the houzzzzz URL it crops them. Also makes a difference in whether you can "like" the OP or not.

Unfortunately, the gw link brings me to an old page with broken links....I don't seem to be able to get in through GW any more.

If I google the Gardenweb link it comes up....if I save the gardenweb link...it's broken up and won't work. ?

I think I was able to get a good GW link, by getting into any of my "followed" forums, then going to the sidebar where it shows "my topics" and hitting KT there. I think that takes me (and hopefully you) to the GW KT, then I bookmarked that link. Some people say to try deleting cookies, but so many people have lost their ID doing that and have been unable to get it back that I am reluctant.

When I click the side bar it brings me to a houzz address and I'm still getting little pictures and no "like" button on the OP.
