Shabby Chic Bedroom Pink
Comments (28)writersblock and polly so glad you also feel the above bedding but with plain white curtains would be best. That's what I've been thinking also. The white tulle sounds lovely or maybe eyelet, or maybe dotted swiss. kms we considered the Target bedding . . . it would sure save me a few bucks. But DD just doesn't like it. She really knows what she likes! It's really interesting . . . I never had such opinions at her age. She really is an "old soul" and actually does her fair share of mothering me at times. polly we just adore beds with curved footboards!! We never even knew about them until we found the website I mentioned before (foreverpinkcottagechic.com) We actually wanted a twin bed but couldn't find one with that look . . . so we decided to get the full bed. Today we also decided we're going to get a crystal chandy to complete the look! It should be stunning since it is a south facing room and the rainbows will be incredible. We never had a ceiling fixture in that room so we'll have to run wires. I'm just not sure where to hang it. If we do it centered in the room close to the ceiling then the sun may not hit it. If we hang it too low it may bonk heads? I wonder if we should plan on hanging it over the vanity area on the window side of the room? Or if that really limits furniture placement then?...See MoreThis table in my Bedroom? Pics
Comments (36)Hello! We had thought of painting the original dark mirror, but it is a plastic frame and dh said that it wouldn't take paint very well. We have now found another home for it where it looks great! ttodd - I don't really have another place to put the chaise where it would get any use. I'm not opposed to covering it sometime in the future, but really it doesn't bother me as much as it bothers everyone here! LOL!!! kdArlene - I like the mirror that you posted. I may not replace this mirror for now, but I do see your point about the whiteness on the bedside of the room. I think I need some more whiteness on the dresser/chaise side. I'll replace the floor lamp as it was cheap. I'll also move my glass candlesticks into my master bath and replace them with white. I'm still torn on black vs white table! You guys seem to be 50/50 as well! LOL!! I'm buying it by Friday so WE need to make up OUR minds!! LOL!! Elaine...See MoreWill this color combo in bedroom look good?
Comments (7)This sounds positively chic! I love it! I am picturing a chrystal chandlier too! You could always add color with things on the dresser, like these flowers in the Ben Moore photo. There are many choices of light blue/greens so I'm not sure what she wants as far as Seafoam but here's a few. Your dd has great taste....See MoreIs there a grownup way to add pink to a master bedroom?
Comments (16)I've added pink to our bedroom but it's subtle enough not to be girly. The first thing I'd do is find a lightweight quilt with pink in it to fold at the end of the bed and work from there. It's amazing what one folded blanket with color can do for a whole room when it's on the end of a bed to match accessories with. Any pink can be sophisticated depending on how much you use of certain shades. The good thing is all shades of pink goes well together so you don't have to be limited on one shade. You could go a bit funky like me and get a pink Princess telephone for your side of the bed. I also have a deep pink Moon Clock. :)...See MoreAlice Edwards
