Can't get them here except on line. Not CSA approved, I guess Mantis does not see a big enough market to justify the expense. It is not illegal to bring them in but if the operator has an incident or accident, no insurance underwriter would touch him/her.

I don't sell LaCornue or Lancanche nor do I sell any appliance. I just offer my unbiased advice to suggest that you shop and decide if you want looks with decent performance at an incredible premium or much more functional power and good looks in another range...more bang for your buck. I shopped and compared them all and admit that the Lancanche and LaCornue are unmatched as to beauty but there are many other great looking ranges out there with much more power and more functional cook surfaces. Biased views from sales people who stand to profit from their advice here is exactly why merchants are prohibited (or used to be) from soliciting business from this advice forum. Not that it is not a great unit but it is, at least in appearance if not in fact, a biased view.

I breed and show LaPerms. They are still a very rare breed, but not expeisive as many of the other rare breeds. They are very healthy as they have not been over bred. @LisaKoback We are building the La meilleure vie plan by David Wiggins also and we are looking for a basement plan with steel beams and I-joist instead of the wooden laminated beams that Wiggins provided for us.
