CornuFe Albertine / CornuFe 90 Review
Comments (62)Reviving this old thread since there really aren't a lot of user reviews on cornufe. I’ve been using for about a month and I love mine. Range is powerful and simmer is great for the most part. Oven cooks well and the range in general is beautiful. One thing I wish I’d checked: the oven comes with one normal rack, one telescopic rack, and one rack that is only designed to fit a cornufe broil pan or cookie sheet. The cookie sheet hollow rack is annoying since a normal rack would be more useful ( you can always put a cookie sheet or broil pan on top of a normal rack). the telescoping rack is great EXCEPT it’s really difficult to move it from one level to another. I’ve been practicing and it still takes me 10 minutes. My Miele oven telescoping rack can be moved quite easily in about 10 seconds. Anyone else have one and learned the trick?...See MoreNew La Cornue CornuFe 90?

Comments (4)I disagree with the poster who queried this post bjDs01. I too researched LaCanche, Blue Star, CC,La Cornue CornueFe 110, Wolf, Bertazonni, etc. LaCanche did not have a lot of problems at all. Each company has some issues. I read far and wide about each brand - performance, cost, service, cooking styles, likes, dislikes etc from all over the web: GW, Chow hound, Chef talk, private homes, etc. LaCanche actually had more people voice love for their ranges than not and Blue Star also had a lot of love except for a spate of issues with a door problem in production that was addressed and fixed. One of the best things about LaCanche I found out is that the company is run with exceptional professionalism and true knowledge of their product. This came across time after time. It is not a big brand name company with lots and lots of reps and once you buy, that is it. It was harder to parse out La Cornue CornueFe 110 because the complaints were people dealing with their issues directly with La Cornue and also with Williams and Sonoma, which now sells the ranges. ALso, to actually install a truly professional range in your apartment and or home, there are codes that are bit more stringent than installing a "pro" range, made for home use. No "pro" home use range will have what you want. But if allowed, and you meet code, you can get a commercial range. But why? One of the most talented chefs on the planet in his kitchen owns and cooks for family and friends and develops recipes on a LaCanche. Just saying......See MoreCornuFe vs Ilve Majestic
Comments (11)From what I have been reading in this forum, the dealer network for Ilve is mostly going away in the US (if it hasn't already). It's now been rebranded as Hallman and sold through a different channel; you can often find it in big discount chains. Customer service for both brands sounded somewhat unreliable. On the other hand, LaCanche stands out for their amazing customer service. Both the US and the Canadian representatives regularly pop up in this forum and give excellent help. If looks and features are important to you, and your budget is open to it then I would definitely consider that brand. It might take a little bit to receive the order though. My brother just bought a stove and had it delivered to Germany. That took almost 3 months, and he is still waiting for the matching range hood as that was delivered incorrectly. I can only imagine that shipping from France to the US is going to take longer....See Moremetalmorphing
