Spider Mites on Colocasia

I grow a couple of colocasias in pots as pond marginals every year, and I just pull the pots out of the pond and store in the garage over the winter. This year, as I was prepping to divide and repot, I discovered that I have a bad infestation of spider mites. So I've dumped out the pots, and divided and cleaned the tubers. I sprayed off every web and mite that I could see (I shredded a bunch of tender new leaves, sigh). Is there anything else I should be doing to help them get off to a good start this year? I am leery of chemicals because they go in my small ornamental pond, and I don't want to hurt the fish.
