Did anyone buy a Venetian dual system tub from Costco?
Comments (35)I love my tub. My recommendation even if you don’t use it all the time, do a cleaning once a month following their recommendations of dishwasher detergent 1/4 cup, hot water Over jets for 10 minutes. Empty and fill with cold water over jets and run 15 minutes. I have been trying for months to clear the gunk out of line. My understanding is that they used ridged lines for plumbing. It gets stuck in there. I am on my 41 cleaning of filling the tub and using cleaning process. Good luck....See MoreHas anyone used Signature Hardware's faucets?
Comments (53)@Jim Edgar I just took a peak at that link and wow that is very thorough. I promise to read more myself - but selfishly can you tell me where I should be looking//what is most important to deduce in terms of the lead testing? I see Signature says "some (but not all)" .. So assuming that is the issue? Comparatively - does something like Kingston Brass seem to check those boxes better? I see for them: Certified to Joint U.S./Canadian Standards. of Safety, Reliability & Durability (ASME A112.18.1CSA 125.1) Certified Lead-Free and Drinking Water safe. (ANSI/NSF 61/9)...See MoreHas anyone bought anything from Signature Hardware?
Comments (41)After reading through all these comments, I was concerned about the quality of SH. I looked up the spec sheet on the faucet I am interested in buying and it has the following certifications: cUPC ASME A11.18.1 NSF/ANS I61 NSF/ANSI 372 ICC/ANSI A117.1 This covers, among other things: lead free, safe for drinking, supply fittings. In fact, they address lead free specifically in their FAQs: " All Signature Hardware kitchen and bathroom sink faucets are compliant with lead regulations determined by the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). This includes NSF/ANSI 61 (to meet North American drinking water standards) as well as AB1953 (to meet California drinking water standards). They are safe to use, as required by law, and undergo a rigorous testing and inspection process before being authorized for sale. We are also proud to stand behind our products with our warranty. " And their faucets have a 25 year warranty. I couldn't find anything about where they manufacture, but even if assembled here, I'm sure there are parts that come from China. You'll be hard pressed to find an all American made & assembled product of any sort. Many of the concerning posts were from years past so it looks like SH has made improvements since then. I will go ahead with my plan to purchase faucets for my kitchen reno. Fingers crossed!...See MoreSignature Hardware Winifred Resin Freestanding Tub - Matte Finish
Comments (12)I was seriously looking at that same bathtub but opted for this one instead (cheaper): https://90210kitchenbath.com/avalon-59/ I cannot speak highly enough of the folks at 90210 Kitchen and Bath (even though they have a silly name) and their incredible customer service. I live in Colorado, but was in LA for a business trip and went to the "showroom" (pretty much a warehouse), where they opened a crate with "my" tub in it. I tried it out Yes, it's made in China, but I would NOT call it cheapo. It is high quality and just stunning. I ordered it a few weeks later and it literally arrived in 48 hours, all 400 lbs. Wow. I was shocked. How could that be so fast? But there it was, and the delivery company placed it in my garage. My bathroom is nearly complete and I'll share pics when it is. The tub is the focal point, and I am so delighted! I ordered a few things (shower, linear drain & tub filler) from Signature Hardware & was equally impressed with their service, but the opportunity to save $600 (plus actually "trying the tub out") made the KB 90201 purchase a no-brainer. KB 90201 buys in bulk, mostly for contractors & passes the saving on. I saw their vanities when I was in their showroom/warehouse (excellent quality) & I hope to buy one or 2 when I re-do other bathrooms in my 29 yr old home. Good luck!...See Morecolleenparade
