Thanks, I will check out all of the suggestions. I went and picked up many "whites" Lukkiirish, I did know that BM would match colors from anywhere, but I was thinking it would be easier to start there. I was getting all stressed out about it today! I can't understand how I can be the type of person who LOVES some things but can't seem to make up my mind on paint. Now I am wondering if I need to have more of a plan and a style chosen 1st because I want to either recover my furniture or purchase new. What I can tell by reading the responses to other posts is that there is great feedback here!

You don't bring home 10 cans of samples. You use the paint chips as your starting point. What type of white are you looking for? All whites are a tint (very light version) of a primary hue, so are you wanting a yellow/red/blue/green/orange/purple tinted white? What orientation is your room--north/south/east/west? What is on the floor and what color--tile/wood/carpet? What is outside the windows--green trees/another building/a blue pool? All of these factors will affect the appearance of the color you paint the walls. You could start with some of the most popular whites--I use Benjamin Moore paint and would recommend White Dove, Cotton Balls, Chantilly Lace, Simply White, Decorator White, Linen White, Ivory Cloud and Ivory White. See if you can get a large paper sample from the paint store (they are available to designers and I'm sure the paint store can order them for you) and narrow it down to 2 or 3. Then get a very small paint can of the 2 or 3 you like best and paint a large piece of poster board with 2 coats of paint. Then view the results in your room at different times of day and evening on the 4 walls. If you still can't decide, consider hiring a color consultant for an hour or two to help you.

I wouldn't paint that brick. Lime wash is (mostly) for unfortunately colored brick. Yours already has a similar lime wash look and it has a really good colorway. Get a designer to suggest some new ideas for the trim/shutter/door color. Try taking off the shutters to see if that helps give an updated look/feel.

As cat_ky said, colors on monitors from professional photos are lighted in special manner so we can only guess. But, I suggest you pick up BM Whites shown here. Chantilly Lace is a bright white. This looks pretty pure white in photos. Get 2-3 samples from samplize.com to test in your light to see what works best.
