If you use that door as the main door to the house than a mirror would be great to have on the art wall. so that when leaving you can give yourself one final look. and perhaps call a wood worker to build a custom floating table (table with no legs screwed in to the wall) next to the door to hold keys or a flower arrangement.

If you have a pair or trio of small pictures that work well with the mirror frame and table (or a small wall shelf or box (perhaps with a door or drawer for hiding a cell phone and/or keys and/or hair brush for below the one small picture), you could leave the mirror vertical and hang it eye level but off center horizontally with a grouping of smaller items beside it. You might get some poster board and cut it to the shapes of your mirror, etc., and then use removable tape to test how they'll work spaced in different ways.

thanks for the comments! the table is very narrow and the length (about 65") covers the baseboard cover (ugh).. Although there is a center pretty light fixture, the lamps provide the atmosphere, especially at night.... Been looking for photos of similar stairs; can anyone provide some PICS with oen larger lamp, etc? so I can visualize a less symmetric styling? thank you so much.

On the right lower deck, I’d have a seating area … chairs, table, bench, etc, any color: I’d also have a few bigger pots of plants, instead of a bunch of smaller ones. Rendering of front entry with chairs: I’d get plant stands or other bases to have varying levels of decor you do, not just have everything sitting on the decking.
