Comments (5)Check Ballard Designs, they have several less than 11". Also, Pier One has a nice 10" deep console. http://www.pier1.com/lincoln-console-table/2707854.html#q=Console&start=1 I tried to link to the Ballard consoles but got cut off from my post. Just search "console" on their site. Here's one: http://www.ballarddesigns.com/martin-3-door-console/376953 There are several more: http://www.ballarddesigns.com/lafayette-44-22-console/362696 I have this one in our narrow entry hall: http://www.ballarddesigns.com/castellon-console/304800 I was happy with the finish and the quality but I did not pay that much for it! There is a post on this forum by TurquioseRose that shows a photo of the Pier One console in her narrow hallway. Not sure how to find it. seagrass...See Moredecorating ideas for hallway
Comments (3)https://www.houzz.com/products/kaleen-helena-3200-05-gold-hand-tufted-rug-8x10-prvw-vr~24210858 A lot of rug companies make several sizes in the same rug style. I suggest a rectangle or square rug at the door and a runner or second rectangle in the hall. If your door were aligned with the hall I'd suggest one long rug, but they're off just a tad. Two matching rugs that suit the size of each space will still look good. The one above is just to show you how many versions of this same rug they make. Watch for that option when shopping online....See MoreEntryway / hallway decor suggestions
Comments (17)I disagree about not using family photographs there. To each their own but I cannot understand or get on board with the idea of shoving family photos away in a bedroom because they're somehow offensive, tacky, etc. in public areas of a home. Like anything else I think there's a tasteful way to arrange a gallery and the photos themselves and their placement within that gallery are also very important. I'm very particular about the photos I have up/out. I only have a few tabletop pictures sprinkled in the main area of my home that are moved or switched from time to time. I have a gallery wall in my hallway and one in my laundry room. The photos in my home are for me and my family to enjoy. The people that visit are family and friends. My house isn't a public location. It truthfully brings me more joy to see the photos of my family than any other decorative piece in my house. There have been some posters here who have also said people with gallery walls don't actually ever 'see' their photos so it's somehow pointless. I honestly look at mine daily....See Morewide hall in entry and need storage ideas
Comments (8)I agree. it does look like a bedroom set up Beverly. This is what is in there now, not my furniture. I am trying to plan what to bring or how to set up when we move in next month. I was hoping to go light in this house but I do have a dark wood carved mirror that I like. Maybe I can find a credenza to work with that....See MoreRelated Professionals
