Source for 1.5 x 6 or 1.5 x anything tile?
Comments (6)I wondered about possibly doing 2 - 1 - 2 - would that be super weird? Maybe with a liner in the middle? I think I'd be okay with three rows of 1.5 and fill up the 7/8 remaining with the grout lines. I've thought about also doing 2.5 subway from Grazia but I'm not positive about 2 rows of tile. I'm also a little concerned about it competing with the 2" mitered edge of my stone. Ack!...See Morebacksplash tile size - 6x6 - 2.5x2.5?

Comments (8)Thank you for your response, the ceiling height in the basement would be to level out with rest of basement. No, I would not want to go lower. The sunken living room floor on inside has joist hangers already, this is on the main house middle beam. I do NOT have my floor open yet but here are pictures I found online that would be very similar to mine. the hangers on inside with wall dividing rooms right on the load bearing beam. The other picture would be the way on outside of wall with joist sitting on sill plate. My thought was that the living room floor that I need raised has no bearing on the rest of the structural walls. With in this living room I would be able to remove finish floor, sub floor to see all of floor joist....See MoreHelp With Layout of Walk-in Closet (10.5'x6.5')
Comments (19)Mark's plan is definitely a good one, but moving the bed can't happen. We realize it's a little tight with a queen bed, but we are okay with that and can make it work. She might not be a shoe maven but she would tell you this is the most important room in the house because it is also where she will do yoga. The 8'x8' clear space at the foot of the bed is the yoga space. Hence, where I've provided a sliding door that opens up to the forest and the large floor-to-ceiling east facing window with a mountain view. It's her retreat, and we can't mess with it. We weren't planning on having free standing dressers in the bedroom but I'm really loving the idea of built-ins under the stairs. This is such a great idea and why I love bringing questions to this site! I would want to keep the access to the storage space under the stair landing but the rest of that wall and the short wall next to the door would be available to use. Maybe some shelving on the short wall next to the door and two sets of drawers on the long wall? Here is a cross-section of that wall showing where the storage access is and where the stairs and stair landing are located behind the wall....See Moresjvi62
