The form and the details do not seem to be consistently any historical style, which is pretty common for mid 20th century homes . The tall entry gable may feel tudor but the door trim looks like classical revival pilaster and pediment. The window trim seems more craftsman. The chimney feels a bit English, but not totally sure. And raising the whole house up off the ground with a full height basement like that does not really have any deep historical precedent outside of farm structures. That said, I don't think you need to follow any historical period with your color palette. I personally like the tan brick, and would take that cue to make the house paint and roof warmer colors: possibly cream or warm grey for the body, a brown or darker warm grey for the trim and roof. Just some thoughts.

Raee- the roof is tough. The visualizer i'm using allows me to put different colors of roof up there, and whenever I try something lighter, it feels washed out against the brick, just my proclivity I think. We started with black/charcoal, but playing with the warmer grey tones is making one of the multitonal black/brown roofs make more sense, so we might go that route. Getting the roof right is definitely the #1 priority as we'll be repainting every once in awhile anyway, but this new roof had better be up there for quite awhile! I tried urbane bronze in the visualizer, but it feels a bit dark for the siding- might be a good trim color against a lighter warm grey if we go the dark trim route- I'm still torn there as well.

Cool house! You might be able to pull off a gray or navy on the siding that goes with the brick. Roof color probably matters more than your photos show. You definitely need to do some photoshop mockups to see if having the top half(ish) of the house dark will make it look floaty or weird. You have white windows--it might make sense to do the eaves white. They can't be left out of the planning. I'd probably try to find a lighter earthy green that goes with the brick. Any chance of showing us the fireplace attached to that incredible chimney?

You have gotten a lot of ideas from your post! I do not have a cape, nor do I live in the South. Here is what I would do. I LOVE the idea of the peach/pinkyorange concept for the front door. It will set your home just a bit apart from the crowd. I would do the body of the house in a soft pale ivory, not bright white. It will work well with the front door, and speak to the roof color, while not accenting the roof. The shutters would look good in a Taupe Grey, a deep tone to work with the black windows, but not bold black. Possibly SW's Westchester Gray. I also love the idea of the large exterior lights at the front door. They bring attention to where the door is. I would paint the storm door the same color as the front door, to bring continuity.
