Neighbor has a hive so my hydrangeas are full of honey bees.

We were at our local nursery picking up some pansies on Saturday and saw my first bee of the season.

I don't have a bee photo and I've posted this before but it's my DIL tending her hives.

If you notice in tvq1's photo of the lovely Hotel de Ville in the Grand Place in Brussels (which for real dates from the 1400s), the tower is famously not centered. It's a bit too far to the right as you look at it. I don't know why. Other facades in this unique medieval square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are also interesting. Before he was born, I had to get this little book for my grandson, as this was the first nickname I had for him. SIL’s last name starts with B. So does ours.

You are so right Annie, bees and Hydrangea go together. My Hydrangea literally hums from start to finish of it's bloom time.

These bushes were covered in bees. I took a picture with my phone, but you cannot see the bees so I enlarged a portion of the photo.

Lurie Gardens in Millennium Park here in Chicago.

Does anyone know what kind of flower that is? I don’t think it’s a snapdragon as it doesn’t have the part of the flower that snaps open.

Yes. Digitalis ferruginea, Rusty Foxglove. And the bushes above are rosemary.

Last year I planted magneta Senetti for the first time. They attracted bees like crazy. I will definitelly be planting them again this year

Munching on some sedum in one of our flower boxes. A few years ago my daughter gave me a set of lens attachments for my iphone. This was taken with the macro attachment.
