kathy, I like the photo of your mom. It reminded me of a b&w photo that I have of my gran and mom walking with me on the beach, around 1960.

Personally, if I don't know where somewhere is I look it up, rather than proudly broadcasting my geographical failings. If one never sees these place names how is one going to learn? Same with anything I read here and don't follow. It's more educational for me and I can Google faster than I can type out a question which requires someone else to put in the effort to answer. btw - don't you get Poldark in the US? Also a lot of Cornish miners went to California in the Gold Rush. I'm pretty sure people living near the Empire Mine, Grass Valley know where Cornwall is. They still serve pasties there. There are people with Cornish ancestry all over the US.

Lurie Gardens in Millennium Park here in Chicago. Does anyone know what kind of flower that is? I don’t think it’s a snapdragon as it doesn’t have the part of the flower that snaps open.

I wonder if delivery people enjoy kids being so excited to see them, even if it's just for the food. I would! so cute :-)
