Really like @Nancy Ingram's suggestion - the “chaise lounge to enjoy the view” is really great. @Lou Pimentel We mocked your room to dimensions but for some minor simplifications. Here are some initial thoughts. In the following layout (styled Boho-Glam just for example), the two chairs in the main seating area can both be rotated back to face the windows and the fabulous view. A divider could mount your TV, and create privacy for the dining space. The great view can also be enjoyed from the dining space. There is also a separate conversation space that we feel does justice to your room’s diagonal corner space. As one enters the room, the eye-line is guided towards the kitchen back wall with storage and some decor. This wall could be highlighted more as well, but in the overall look, we feel better this way. We are working on another layout that some of us like better than the above, so stay tuned.

I also got the Sven leather bench/coffee table. prices are very reasonable. Then find the accessories. bring in some art or a rug w/color. I really loved the sven in the blue. this would look great w/your floor and cream wall color. (it is cream, right, and not the yellow in the picture?) I like your proposed arrangement. Looks like you could add a t.v. on a swivel mount with a small console underneath to the right of the fireplace. As a general rule, the rug under the dining table should be 4 feet wider and 4 feet longer than the table, so it seems an 8x10 would best suit the table when fully extended.

The only item that might be a problem is the kitchen island. You have a modern apartment, with fairly modern/eclectic bookcase and couch, but the kitchen island is a different style. If you have an overall eclectic style that would work, but otherwise it may need to be switched out for a more modern style.
