And some bird pictures from my currently ongoing trip to St Pete, Florida

A King Snake and Copperhead locked in mortal combat. Look closely in the lower left and middle right and you see parts of the Copperhead’s body while being constricted by the King Snake. This picture was taken just a few feet away from our front door. The two snakes stayed like this for about 30 minutes before the King Snake loosened its grip, consumed the Copperhead and the slithered away. That took another 30 minutes or so. We like our King Snakes. The King Snake was almost 3 feet long.

My brother painted this in art class in high school, and it hangs in my living room. The truck in the foreground is a '41 Chevy pickup my brother and dad restored (I had a green one my Dad had restored a couple years earlier). In the background are a '39 Ford sedan and a '37 Ford pickup that they also restored. However much the cars reflect what my brother actually had, the rest of the painting is nothing like where we grew up. I picked the frame and remain pleased with how it acts as an extension of the barn

It’s funny because I really like the color purple, but walking around my home today I realized that I don’t have anything purple, except a few sweaters, but they’re still packed away until Fall. Anyhoo, I was born in February so amethyst is my birthstone. Here’s the Native American silver and amethyst necklace, bracelet and earrings DH bought me many years ago for a birthday gift.
