Corner headboard or bed (double/full size)?
Comments (21)Thanks so much for all the ideas! I'm a little skittish about anything DIY; I've seen the Pinterest tutorials but I've got a long list of projects that need to be done whereas this one seems like something I should shop for! @aprilneverends, I love all those ideas - if only I could afford one of those cool RH beds (of course if I could, I would probably have a house with ginormous rooms for kids and this wouldn't be a concern.) @lilysroom & @robo & @chibimini - you have me thinking hard about the right bed size. He's the tallest kid in his school and while that may taper off eventually it's a decent bet he'll be over 6' at minimum. So the length of a queen bed might be more sensible. We had one in there when it was a guest room (pre kid #2) and his other furniture is pretty slim so I'm sure I could fit one. We're putting hardwood floors upstairs in the next month, so my hope is try to coordinate this and minimize the amount of furniture the guys have to move as they install. This is his messy day-before-school starts room; the other wall has a very shallow, tall bookshelf:...See MoreCali King Tall Headboard for Sleep Number Adjustable Bed
Comments (1)Looking for ideas for a Cali King headboard ~ probably upholstered ~ to work with an adjustable Sleep Number bed. Would consider a bed and footboard. I am thinking I need something 60+ " tall to balance the wall lighting. Appreciate any thoughts on design, sources, pricing etc. Had to get rid of a beautiful 4 poster Henredon bed when hubby wanted a bigger adjustable bed!...See MoreIdeal height for a king headboard?
Comments (3)I don't think there's an "ideal" ratio of height to bed size. As long as it clears your pillows, it's ok -- beyond that, it's just the style of headboard that determines whether it deserves to dominate the wall or not....See MoreLooking for photos of a full / queen headboard on a full bed
Comments (7)I think beyond the aesthetics, my question would be why you would want the larger frame. In my experience people have full beds because they don't want the larger bed taking up physical space in the room. Often there is not enough width to have decent size end tables on either end. If you get a queen size frame and use it with a full size mattress, you have all the disadvantages of a queen bed taking up space in the room without the advantage of a larger mattress....See Moredecoenthusiaste
