Full size headboard/Queen Size Mattress?
Comments (2)What do you mean by "work"? Will it fit the bed frame? No. Can you attach it by rigging it somehow and having it look OK? Yes/Maybe....See MoreShow me pics of your home made headboard for a full size bed
Comments (9)Recently, my friend and I made upholstered headboards for our daughters. They are queen sized, but no reason you couldn't do full. She made hers from hone-dec fabric. I used an old mattelasse bedspread. If you are interested, email and I will send you the directions I wrote up....See MoreUpholsterd headboard? Or upholstered bed?
Comments (14)Thanks, all. Lots of good food for thought. And those are some beautiful rooms and beds! My DH actually said he would build me a headboard, and I designed it. He bought the quarter-sawn oak, and some burl for some inset spots . . . and it has all sat in the barn for two+ years. Even after I have TWICE cleaned up and organized the barn for him so he can easily do the work. That and we're having a new mattress delivered Thursday and when I saw that headboard on CL I was giddy at the thought of getting it all done at one time. Oh, and the CL headboard is fairly new -- part of a moving sale. But I understand the issues with buying used upholstery....See MoreFull Headboards to King?
Comments (16)Just an idea.....how about turning them upside down and cutting off the (legs) so the two pieces are straight across. After putting them side by side, how much of the bed will cover the curved part? Like, can you tell that the headboard is curved or will the mattress cover that curved center part. I know you will have a curved part on each side of your bed but I am thinking you could put two small book cases or two-drawer night stands and that will hide the curved part. May not work but they are very pretty and I am sure they can be used....See Morecynthiadaniel
