Should entry rug match runner?

I live in a modest 1900 sqft house with a medium sized foyer that leads to a hallway. Currently I have a 2'6" x 4" rug in front of the door and a 2' x 8' runner in the hallway. They are only a few feet apart. I am planning to get new rugs, and was going to get matching ones again (this time 3' x 5' and 2'6" x 9', repspectively.) Now I am wondering if perhaps I should not match them and it might look better to be coordinated but not matched. They are separated by maybe 3 feet of hardwood. Opinions?

My wife thinks they should match, but I am not so sure. Here is the runner, in charcoal:

I would go with non-matching rugs.

THE RULE Is don't make a second post!! Go to a real carpet store, ask to see stair runners that come in 36 inch widths.Have it made to the length you need and backed with non skid. Or look at area rugs in 3 x 5 for the entry if that fits.. No doormat sizes. Ready made runners will be too narrow for your space No to the rug under table. You need an 8 x10 and I doubt that fits. Nothing is far better, than a too small rug.

I'd just put 2 runners down the hall. And I'd leave the rug inside the door if you need it for people to wipe their feet on. I'm all about practicality first.

The smaller pattern should be on the stairs. When you consider how much of the repeat will show on the stair, the Chateau will look better. Here's some examples of smaller pattern vs. larger pattern Here's the Damask on stairs. It actually gets kind of lost on the stairs as you can't see the pattern repeat well Here's the Chateau, it really pops. But maybe you want it to be more subtle. If so, pick the Damask.

I like the idea of a jute rug but I'd look at something that blends in more with the floor so it won't take away from your cool looking wallpaper. Here's one in navy from Amazon although I'm sure there are many places to find similar.

I prefer non-matching rugs, too, in most circumstances. I think it looks more interesting and collected, as well as sort of visually defining the rooms (exception being ultra-modern monochromatic homes).
