Engineered Hardwood Floor Installation 2nd level

A L

Hello,

I'm looking to install 3/8"engineered hardwood on the entire 2nd level of my home (about 1500sf). The sub-floor is Tongue and Groove plywood. I'm looking to glue the flooring down to the subfloor. I have two (2) installation questions and have included some pictures to help clarify. First, issue is the sub-floor isn't completely level/flat and I'm not sure what to use to level it. As you can see there are some gaps between the tongue and groove plywood so I'm unsure as to what self-leveler or patching I might need to do. Do I need to fill the gaps then level the floor? What should I use for both the filling the gaps and to level the floor. Second question is dealing with the 3/8" - 1/2" drop from my tile bathroom floor to the new engineered hardwood flooring. How should I best address this transition? I don’t really want to add plywood to the entire second floor if I can avoid it. I really appreciate any advice you all can give.
