Well, obviously I don't have this one, but here's what I remember from looking at it (all to be taken w/ grain of salt since this is based purely on memory!)---not sure there is anyone floating around GW that I've heard of who has the FD model! 2. Is it necessary for you to open the doors past 90 degrees in order to roll out the crisper bins (if so, how far)? Or do the crisper bins help push open the doors? Probably. It is with the single-door model and I'm 99% sure they're the same crisper bins, so I imagine it's true for this too. However, you can get into the single-door bins with a 90 degree opening---you just can't take them out. 5. Do you have to open/close the doors in a certain order? (eg, always close the left hand side before the right or it won't seal, etc.) I think this is one of the fridges that you can do either way (where the center flap folds), but might be misremembering that. If I think of it I'll check the next time I'm at a showroom. 6. Can you fit two half-gallon cartons of milk on ONE of the bottom door shelves? Pretty sure you can but did not test it. Gallon containers fit. 7. Where do you put a carton of eggs? While the FD doesn't come with the same little egg holder that the single-door has, I think the upper door bins are the same size, so probably eggs would fit there? That's what I imagined when I looked at it, at least. 8. How hard is it to pull open the freezer? (With some other models, I have to literally brace myself.) Average, I think, given that I don't remember it being an issue one way or the other (as I do with some of the other FD fridges we looked at). It seemed more substantial than the freezer door o the single-door model. 9. When you pull open the freezer, does the top shelf slide out automatically, or if not is it easy to slide yourself? Just the main shelf comes out---you have to reach in and open the ice area and other shelf separately. Don't know if you can lock them on or off as you can with some fridges, but I don't recall seeing that feature. Not sure how much that helps...good luck!

I just added on a kitchen (not quite finished) and since i wanted a Thermador 36" dual fuel range, I looked at their fridges. Consumer Reports gave their French door a rating that I liked for pro-style. I bought the 36" French door. I also got in on their "buy 2, get one free" and my Thermador dishwasher was free, but I paid $200 more to get their top dishwasher. My hood was somehow part of this and the blower and parts were free, too. A word about Thermador -- the compressors are on the bottom, so the fridge is taller than one with the compressors at the top. I prefer it this way since I can reach the top shelf. I housesat for three months this summer for someone with a huge SubZero and the compressor at the top always looked like it was a dust-catcher. I have panels, they didn't. In this photo, grouting isn't done; range hood isn't up; frame piece above the Thermador fridge needs to be installed, so you won't see that gap.

We got our rs36w80lj1 back in January. Pros and cons. Pros: quiet, keeps items cold and frozen. Simple to install. Looks very sleek being completely flush to cabinetry. Seems sturdy. The panels are adjustable in x,y,z axis so you can fine tune the gaps and fitment. Cons: the leveling system can be adjusted front and back and all independently is garbage since it's just the rollers and have no actual legs. If you don't have a completely level floor you may have issues getting it completely level since it's on rollers. Screwing into the cabinetry maintaining the position of the fridge will be tricky as opening the doors to get to the brackets can move the fridge. The 72" height version of this fridge has a better levelling system as it has adjustable rollers AND front feet that are lowered once the fridge is level and the fridge won't move back and forth after the legs are set. Cons cont: only makes 8 ocd cubes every 3-4 hrs. Even with ice boost on its not mich more. My ice maker spits /drips water when the trays get filled so I have to clean ice buildup from areas of the ice container and it sometimes drips inside the ice container causing the ice cubes to bind together. At first I thought this was a level issue so I reinstalled the fridge fixing the level hoping this would fix the issue but it still happens. Cons cont: hinges look solid but after a while start to make some noise. Again I thought it was a level thing from the first install. I reinstalled it level and it was quiet until a mth later and is starting to make some noise. Not sure if it'll be as noisy as it was before it was properly levelled so we will see. Cons cont: stainless steel panels appeared to be coated with a clear coating which actually does cause it to scratch easily. And bc of this coating you can't polish it like traditional stainless steel. Maybe car polish might fix it. Secondly, it does seem quite thin. And does dent fairly easy. All in all for tht price, FP fridges are great for the price. You are getting a built in integrated fridge for way less than viking SZ etc which run 10+k. Would I get FP again? I wouldn't get it unless they fixed the levelling system to that of the 72" height one. I would probably get the 72" one next but I also am liking tht Bosch counter depth one as well. I don't mind how the Bosch does sit a bit proud but the FP does look very sleep bring completely flush. Could the issues be because of my un level floor? Maybe. Or the FP is more finicky when it comes to having a level floor. Anyways, well see how long the fridge lasts. Bosch will definitely be on my radar when it comes time to get a new fridge. I'm not optimistic that fridges these days won't last more than ten years (max) these days.
