Has anyone used sherwin williams ice cube on their interior walls? Really love the sample swatch, but I'm nervous it may come out looking baby blue. tried a sample on my walls and I still can't tell if it's the perfect white/light gray or if it's going to morph into a ghastly baby blue. I'm wanting a whole house color that is bright, crisp and clean.

If Iced Cube shifts blue for you, moving increasingly further anti-clockwise back, into the Yellow Hue Family may help. You might try,

We painted a sample of SW 6252 Ice Cube on a poster board next to a sample of SW Alabaster comparing for what we want to use for exterior paint and it seems to have the slightest grey tinge in my opinion, but in my home lighting appeared white. Ice cube sample is on the left.

I just painted my bathroom in SW ice cube. It turned out slight light gray baby blue. The sample went on light gray. I didn’t do a second coat of the sample... the second coat darkened the color and gave it more of a blue tint. I will upload a photo. The color is beautiful!

That’s exactly what I’m looking for-warmth without going yellow. I’m sure you’ve read about the northern light adding a chilling effect to the room. What’s the reason for not using BM? My contractor said they prefer BM but would be willing to use a different brand if we wanted to, and I am having a hard time selecting the main color in BM (I have tons of sample paint already). SW has paint consultants that charge you to come out and help select your paint colors and then reduce that charge when you buy the paint. I haven’t heard of that with BM so I am trying to hire a paint consultant to help me. Or hiring an SW consultant and just have them match the BM paint to an SW color. Paint is a big decision! I’m putting in a white oak flooring as well.

@Lori...any thoughts on what paint colors (preferably sw or bm paint) I might want to peek at that are very similar to Accessible Beige as I am picking up a very slight pinkish/purple-ish tone that isn't completely desirable... perhaps something a touch to the right toward yellow hue on the color wheel but a similar chroma and lrv??

I'm looking for a neutral gray/off-white with an LRV of 70-75 that doesn't read purple (many grays and grieges do!), blue, or pink. I don't want a throwback to "builder's taupe." And after seeing White Duck on the wall in my house, I'd definitely characterize it as tan. In photos online, it looks like a warm off-white with a hint of green. In my house, it's brownish beige. I might have liked it 20 years ago.

The whole fan of the colors posted above by Mtn looks like the colorways for those ubiquitous ‘French Country” fabrics from early 2000’s. I’m never a fan of yellow, in any variation, for either my interiors or my fashion choices, so I am probably not a candidate for Tarnished Trumpet. 😊

If you have a north facing room, Ice Cube will be influenced by the cold gray/blue light.

You need a decent sized sample, large board x 2 coats, so you might move it around in your space and view against different walls in both sunlight and shadow.

It’s the only way to be certain how it might render for you, in your space, in your available light.

Ice Cube SW is a very light shade of green. You might want to work with your light more.
