In 2015 we renovated a house built in 1974 and gutted the kitchen. we had honed quartzite counters installed and an undermount stainless steel sink. The sealant gets all funky gunky between the sink and counters. I don’t think the sealant it is is flush enough with the side edge of the counters and sink and that’s why it gets funky. So while i was cleaning the other day i ripped the strip of sealant stuff out with a butter knife.

Now I just want to make sure the handyman uses the best sealant when he comes to reseal the sink. what should i buy? Is there a type that is mold free?

Sorry so long. Lots of coffee holed up down in the unusually frozen South.

we Aren’t used to this ;)

thanks!!
