Coffee table Ideas
Hi planning to change my coffee tables as these seem to small for the room.
Not sure what style size I should go for.
Wood unless black I find will introduce another wood color. Glass maybe to modern for this style.
What style would you give this room? So I can use that filter when browsing.
Painting ceiling is not an option.

Comments (8)@katinparadise in front of the slider is a rear speaker and a black shelf sitting next to our entry way (I'm working on decluttering and possibly replacing I'm just running out of display places that I so desperately need). - Sorry I just realized you were asking what was sitting infront of the window its a stick of flaoting ikea shelves that i picked up for a good price. Thats what i was thinking of using but, like i said now that im looking at it. I'm not a fan (Still using them in the Man Cave though for figurines and such) as far as wall decor goes I'm glad you think the same about the shelves... though I cant seem to find any large canvases that I love. I was looking at some gold metal work instead, but a single large piece just seems so underwhelming in that size of a space. Multiple pieces might look better.... I've seen some photo groupings in the British colonial style and love the idea of them but also sometimes look a little cluttered if not done right as well as the rest of the room doesnt have the "collector" feel to it that you would generally see that... but if you have some inspiration photos that show what you are thinking I'd totally love to see it...See MoreCoffee table ideas to fit my living room?

Comments (70)So I was just about to post a new question here and was thinking about this thread and how so many of you wonderful humans took time out a few years ago (omg pre-pandemic!!) when I was redoing my one bedroom condo. I obvs have no idea if people continue to stay on this forum but I’m hoping at least a few people see this so I can say THANK YOU!! Long story to go along with the long years we’ve all faced from early 2020 to now, but short version is soon after I did “refreshed” my place, I moved out of the h*** that was condo living in DC amid the pandemic to stay with my folks in NC. And quickly decided I never wanted to move back to DC! So I sold my place!! And no, I do not regret for a moment the work I put into it bc (1) it looked awesome and (2) it sold within days of being on the market, at a price a tad higher than other places in my own bldg which I attribute to a bit of emotional response bc my condo looked FIRE. So thanks to everyone who made suggestions (even those I didn’t take!). I learned so much and have found so much more confidence in my ability to know what I like, how to ask for help, and most of all…not become overwhelmed with opinions!! I ask for them, but hey…people like different things, no biggie. Anyways, in case anyone is still around, thought I’d share a few pics of how it all turned out in the end. 3 years agolast modified: 3 years agoI think this might work on the side of the room with the speakers where you enter, to help soften the visual of the equipment (although i think if I picked this lamp I would pick a different rug)

3 years agolast modified: 3 years agoIt’s a great lamp. I’d still put something to soften the impact of the side of the speaker, like the plant that is visible in the picture in the other room.
This room is actually modern, not rustic. I would go with some visible metal in the coffee table. I think this floor lamp might look nice between your chairs

3 years agothanks for your help. here is what I went with. I decided to put a carpet after your suggestions and wow should have done it before. The colors light up the room. Also finally ended making my own coffee table after being inspired by some saw on the web. Hope you like. I do :)

3 years agoLove some of the rugs folks have suggested as well as coffee tables. Here is mine but would perhaps prefer it in a darker color.
