sanbarfl: In the beginning I noticed our GE Profile FD water dispenser reservoir had water sitting in it all the time. Yet we never saw the dispenser dripping. I decided to do a test. There is only the 2 of us. DH would leave for work before me. Then I'd soak up the water in the reservoir with a paper towel before leaving for work. I come home 1st & the reservoir is bone dry. DH then comes home & all thru the night I'd soak up water from the reservoir. I thought opening & closing the door must make it drip. Then DH was away for 3 days and I used the fridge normally. I found no water in the reservoir for the 3 days that he was away. Apparently, when he fills a glass, he removes the glass too soon after releasing the dispenser handle. I always hold my glass there for 2-3 seconds after releasing the dispenser handle to make sure I catch all the water. For me the problem was DH. I wish you luck getting this problem fixed.

We are considering all the same issues as this poster. Our fridge will be on the far left of the row of cabinets in a galley kitchen, so it seems that opening a single door left-hinge fridge will be more convenient than an FD. I also am very concerned about energy efficiency and durability, so I have some questions about how well the FD models will seal long term. I have no interest in throwing my $2000 fridge out in 5 years! We did find a GE model that seems to fit the bill: PDCS1NBWLSS GE Profile Energy Star 21.1 Cu. Ft. Stainless Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator - Left Hinged. We have not bought this yet but are still shopping around. We want a modest sized one like this (again to avoid wasting energy for space we rarely need), but there may be something similar in a larger size. Good hunting! Good luck!

As I mentioned previously we have the Samsung with the ice/water dispenser in the door. Had it in our previous fridge and never had a repair in the 10+ years we owned it. With this new Samsung we have only had water drips down the door a couple times in the past 15 months. The key is to train family members to wait a second or two before removing the glass after stopping the water flow so that the last drops of water go in the glass. I did forget to mention in my previous response that when ice is made and drops into the storage bucket it makes a fair amount of noise. After a short while it just became another household noise that we barely notice. Guests will exclaim, "what was that?" but we just pretend we don't know what they are talking about. Try to make them think they are having an auditory hallucination! Even with the noisy ice dropping, we still like the ice and water in the door.

Mayflowers, I'm so sorry-I just saw this question! I updated my alert preferences but I never get email alerts. The pullout access is fine-I'm only using the middle 9" right now and it has drinks in it-tea bags, hot chocolate and cider packets, a box of Caprisuns...I just haven't had anything to put in the other two yet. Well the top one doesn't have a pullout-I do own a pullout for it but it was just too high for me. I may put it in someday though. Here are some updated pictures, THANK YOU to everyone for your help. It's incredibly functional and fun to cook in. The walkways are very wide and I'm really happy with the decision to put the dishwasher to the left of the sink and the trash pullout on the right. I'm waiting for the correct size window grids for the window sink as part of my punch list-so please ignore those! The microwave, toaster oven, keurig, and kitchenaid mixer ate in the walkin pantry next to the kitchen. Love having all of that out of the way and my family hasn't complained (too much) about having them tucked in there. It helps that there's a huge picture window in the pantry :). Sorry these are dark… It's a little overcast today.
