Heartbreaking? Does this make you want to read a book?

I load a lot of books onto my kindle from the sites "Book Bub" and Early Bird Books". When I see one that looks good, I go to Amazon and read the blurb and the reviews to see if it still looks good. One description that stops me cold is "heartbreaking". Is that supposed to be a good thing? Do people really seek out books which have that in the description?

I find life its own self rough enough without deliberately choosing to read something that makes me weep and feel sad. Is this something that draws you to a book? It must be for a lot of people or the seller would not put that out as a part of something which is intended to attract someone to the story. Can you tell me what I'm missing?
