should we do a hand shower instead of a regular showerhead?
Comments (26)We have only the hand held on a slide bar, Memoirs by Kohler ~just installed in our new master bath. We didn't want multi shower heads or body sprays just as little as possible. The sliding bar works great for both my husband and me with our significant height difference. I never had a sliding bar before this and I just have to say they are wonderful, look pretty and very functional. I think I love it more than anything else we did! ...My feeling is that a shower head would not be a deal breaker in a house sale. I fell for that advice from our builder: "you better put in a jetted tub for resale", we did and ended up ripping it out 13 years later as it was a huge white elephant that we used maybe 10 times in 13 years. No one at least in our area wants them anymore, especially the young people who see them as something their parents did, lol. Horrors! Freestanding soaker tubs are the in thing now. No mildewed jacuzzi lines to worry about no huge floorspace wasted, use less water. We have water wars going on here with three other states and I had that on my mind when doing the shower. YMMV : ) All the best to you!...See MoreMaster Bath Shower Faucets - wall and ceiling shower head only?
Comments (13)We redid our MB with an overhead, a hand held, also a grab bar. I think the handheld is great. We use it for cleaning screen windows, the dog, sometimes my feet, etc. Although I think the ceiling overhead shower head looks glamorous , it makes washing your hair awkward. You have to step out of the water pathway to get the shampoo in your hair, vs. a wall mount you step back a few inches and you can get shampoo in while still being showered with the water....See MoreHelp with Master bath flooring, shower and accents
Comments (4)Susie thanks for you suggestion. The marble will transition to the porcelain tile at the doorway. We have taken a piece of the marble to various flooring stores and a few folks have told us not go with the subdued tile in same color range as the marble. We need to go totally different and make it stand out. One designer pulled a very busy tile with totally different colors that seemed to clash. We were not at all interested in this look; however, what we thought we wanted we have now been confused due to the feedback. Is it a design no - no to go with marble look tile same or similar to real marble we have in the home, but with accent pieces to make tub surround and shower stand out? We were going to install furniture style vanities and famed mirrors with. Thanks again for the feedback and suggestions...See MoreNeed help choosing master bath wall paint color
Comments (4)Hi! The SW Sea Salt looks like a great color for the bathroom and design plans! It's a bit lighter than the SW Oyster Bay which is perfect for a bathroom with limited natural light. It also resembles the green hue of SW Oyster Bay to create a cohesive style! From the shower, floor and counter design to the satin nickel of the faucet, SW Sea Salt seems like an excellent choice! Best of luck!...See More- 3 years ago
