Need Opinions, Bathroom Vanity Function vs Style? (pics)
Comments (15)If you will be using the area every day and the vanity is the main storage cabinet, by all means go with the Kraftmaid. Bending all the way down to get into those sliding doors would get old, quick. Pull-out shelves inside would make it much better, though. KM has a few darker glazed finishes that are very rich looking. We went with the white foil with beadboard in the kids bath and even though I don't use them on a daily basis, I LOVE them! We upgraded to the soft close and every drawer opens completely -- no more digging around the back for things. We changed the false front drawers under the sinks to tilt-out's with full stainless steel baskets... those fit toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste and much more. If you have great knobs and/or pulls, some people seem to notice those and not the cabinet themselves. I've had people not notice the beadboard because they were so drawn to the knobs....See MoreBathroom layout idea with 2 small bathrooms - including measurements
Comments (19)The "regular" bath layout that jensbride posted first is very similar to what our DD & DS shared for years and worked very well. The door, however, was a pocket style and placed directly across from the toilet. This allowed the vanity to be scooted around the corner to take up the whole wall. It leaves the toilet close to the tub, but with lots of elbow room. Our kids just learned to keep the door partially closed when the bath wasn't in use due to the "view"....See MoreIdeas to tone down 50s style bathroom tile
Comments (10)@kloikith OMG I had to double check this post. This is my same bathroom!!! I thought my husband had posted this lol! We don't have the wall paper. PO painted the wall white, but the layout, the tile, the toothbrush and soap dish holder, towel bar, shower door and medicine cabinet are exactly like my bathroom! The white paint tones it down some. To me against the white walls teh tiles appear pinkish brown ad reddish brown. I'd recommend just an off-white or white. It brightens it up and feels a little bigger. Do you ave remodel plans already? Ours will be a few years down the road but I'm at a loss for what we will do....See MoreNeed bathroom lighting ideas
Comments (1)I would put recessed in, once you remove the soffit for the florescent the ceiling will get a bit higher. That being said what other lighting is in this room? (no to pendant lights ps) Another option which may work is to go with a smaller mirror and add to sconces to the sides, or go with a full wall mirror and mount the sconces too it. Layers of light....See MoreLiz H
