We just replaced our board and batten with shiplap on some sections of the exterior of our house. I am looking for advice on paint color for trim, wood, front door, gutters- pretty much everything. We have ordered new doors too. One is wood and can be painted and one will be painted.

We do need to keep the Rustic Taupe color in the equation since my husband does not want to repaint the whole house and our back house.

Question is:

Should we keep the wood untouched? (it is already finished and protected with a natural wood protectant and will continue to darken to a dark brown)

We will also be adding simple 1"x 3" trim around each of the windows.

Trim color?

I have uploaded a few photos. First is how it looks today. The random gutters in the front will be gone and I am thinking of a dark charcoal gutter with iron ore trim.

The next few are a couple mockups of some options including painting the wood Rustic Taupe on some sections.
