"If you are very good, I'll read you a story"...
First snow of the year yesterday, so I had to get out in it. Slight oversight was in my excitement I forgot to put my wellies on. Still enjoyed it though, even if my feet got a bit soggy.
Lotus 'Flame Clouds'
Started my wool hand-appliquéd quilt yesterday. Two houses (almost) done. 30 to go, plus a whole lot more for this yearlong project.
Charming!
Margaret at work. When DH empties his wastebasket on the second floor he tell hers to put it in the trash. She brings it downstairs and puts it in the laundry room next to the trash can and then waits for her treat.
Taken two days ago, if you enlarge it, there is a cross in the middle.
Graupel! we had "graupel" yesterday!
I called it "styrofoam snow". It forms when snow flakes fall through a layer of warm air then a layer of supercooled air, and moisture crystallizes onto the the original flake, forming a ball of microscopic ice crystals. They look and act and roll around like soft white plastic pellets, then melt into what looks like regular hail. First time I've ever seen it.
Recent frosty morning as I was driving into the grocery.
Maire, I love Margaret!
nhbaskets, your felt houses are wonderful.
Terrific Margaret!
Margaret is very proud of herself. I guess it's just natural for a Retriever and if DH leaves his socks on the floor she'll pick them up and bring them over and of course get another treat. If only my kids had been that easy to teach.
Tony is so proud of himself in this box. He has one of his mice in there with him.

Bud has just about outgrown his cat tree ! He didn’t use it for months, so I put some plants on it. Had to move some so he could sleep. He has a hangover
Mom crocheted these a couple of years before she passed away, but never got around to adding the trim. My daughter needed a baby gift for a girl, so I finished them off yesterday. No reason for me to hang on to them, still it's hard to see them go.
Be like Margaret. :)
Donna, I can understand how it would be difficult to part with those. They are adorable.
Hoover Dam sculptures
One of the last roses of the season. I look forward to the flowers returning in the spring. Hope springs eternal.
Finished this a few minutes ago. One of the more difficult 500 piece puzzles I have ever done.
NHbaskets, I already covet that quilt! It's going to be amazing.

What great photos today!
