Comments (9)I like the first Caribbean, but really love the second. Would you consider using the braided rug in the entry, and getting the Caribbean for the LR? The braided rug seems to fight with the furniture arrangement. It feels like a narrow strip running down the middle of the furniture, rather than encompassing all the pieces in the central space of the room. Perhaps the Carribean could be sized so that the rug could turn the other way in the LR, and both the chairs would sit on it, the trunk opposite, and the large cabinet would be connected with it as well. I think all the wood furniture in there could also use the interest of the colors in the rug, whereas the entry is just a pass-through and perhaps needs less pattern and interest. Or use the braided rug in the office, where it would seem a perfect fit turned the other way. Then use the Caribbean in the LR, and get a simple sisal with a solid blue trim for the entry hall. You have a very pretty home, cheery and welcoming....See MoreHelp me pick a colour for Hall/entry
Comments (1)Since it is just a pass-through area, I’d be inclined to paint it a light warm color similar to what you have there now. I’d also look into changing the lighting fixtures to ones that light the area better. The floor looks nice, is laminate going to hold up in an entry area where there might be wet shoes, etc.?...See MoreHelp me pick a rug!
Comments (16)I love FLOR tiles and bought a bunch to use as elderly dog path…. The backing is a rubber product so not compatible with all flooring types—be sure to check. Also lots of melting snow could be wicked between tiles but you can get extra and switch out as needed. My son has Ruggables and has worked pretty well. It was the only rug product thin enough to allow his front door to swing over it (very little free depth). They worked great for a year or so then top part needed replacement. I get wool rugs for my entrances and spot clean as needed. Darker colors heavily patterned would be my recommendation....See MoreRUGS?? Help me pick out an area rug for my living room
Comments (4)Order the rug you like in the smallest size...then if you like it, send back the "sample" and get the full size one. What is it that clashed about the ones you sent back? The room is very neutral in black white and cool gray, and the floor is warm tone. Maybe that's it. The mix of warm and cool tones...get a rug with those tones....See More- 3 years ago
