If you take out that one wall, there is still the issue of where to place the bed. Do you have measurements or a floor plan of the suite? I wonder...what if you actually extended the right-hand wall, and moved the doorway to the left? Then you could place the bed with the head against the wall. Or...how long is the wall between the bedroom door and the little niche? Is it long enough to be a doorway, and close up the existing doorway? From the way light falls, it looks like there is a door to another bedroom just to the left of the MBR door, is that right?

I like your bedside tables but they are too big for the current location. They feel too visually tight and the one at the door overlaps the door frame - against the visual rules, looks weird. I agree with DM. It looks to me that the wall to place the front of the bed is the one opposite the closet/bathroom door wall. I cannot tell if you have enough room at the end of the bed to do this. It need not be a full wall of solid fabric draperies. It could be translucent fabric. Check out The Shade Store or Smith & Noble Draperies. Or there is always IDEA for a really cheap solution. It's ok if you see the door through the draperies. That should do the trick to pull the room together.

One thing I've learned from the pros and other talented decorators on this forum over the 15 years I've been visiting is that scale matters a lot. When you have a room the size of your master bedroom, you need some substantial furniture (and art, etc.) to make the design work. This was a very important lesson for me to learn, as my house before I was married was a very small bungalow. Everything I brought from my previous home looked silly and dwarfed in the home my husband and I moved into. My art looked like postage stamps tacked to the walls. I didn't know how to decorate in large spaces because I had never done so before, and I always preferred modest, simple furniture and art so it look me years to embrace the larger spaces. But once I did, things started looking a lot better. I've found places to use some of the sentimental items I couldn't part with (in bathrooms, kids' bedrooms, small guest room, as part of gallery walls), but some things just don't work in the larger spaces. Your bed, though very pretty, is probably one of those things. We have a California King in our large-ish master bedroom and it looks great and fits the scale of the room. Find some large art you love too. I'm sure the pros will have better advice, but just wanted to chime in as I went through that same frustrating phase you are in now. Good luck!

Is this room a blank slate? Or do you have any furniture/rugs/window treatments/etc. that you are going to use? Here are some boho chic rooms for inspiration. You'll note that many of them are painted white, with color and pattern in textiles and art. Keep in mind that when you decorate a room, the wall color is only one piece of the puzzle. It needs to work with everything else you choose to have in the room. Plan it out before you buy that can of paint!
