IMO solar shades will be needed to control heat and UV rays or all the fabrics will be bleached in no time . I would probably do motorized ones so you can enjoy the cloudy days with no blinds. I see no need for privacy on that huge wall of windows so there I would just do the solars they will allow you to keep the view all the time. BTW the view is better when you choose the darker color like charcoal or bronze. Then on the windows where nighttime privacy is an issue you can mix the blinds with either roman shades or drapes but my choice would be roman shades. The other thing you can do is to make those top windows have permanent solar shades custom made to fit and then use the roller ones just on the bottom.

If you like them open most of the day, I'd use solar film. This will help with heat due to the sun as well protect against a fair amount if UVA and UVB rays. You can find flush mount panels depending on the depth of your sill. If your sill is too narrow, I'd look at curtain that stop between the two winds with a wand or motor for easy opening and closing.

Motorized roller shades is the way to go - if you dont have power next to the window, you can use lithium-ion battery roller shades that will last you 6 to 9 month before you have to recharge them. This is easy as plugging in your iphone.

Bear in mind that the batteries for motorized shades are in a wand attached to the shade NOT in your hand-held remote. For my two story window I had a long wire put on the wand and it sets on the window sill but that is still 12’ from the floor. So changing batteries requires 15’ ladder to get to wand.
