Basement half wall Help

Good day , I decided it was time to gut and redo the basement in the house I bought a year ago. The plan was to Glue 2 inch XPS ridgid insulation to the foundation. Frame over that and add batt insulation,Then gypsum board. However to my surprise after removing the front wall it is only a half wall. There is no ledge as the 2x4 framing is flush with the foundation. so technically I can still add the ridgid ect as per my plan. My question is what do I put in the studded wall above the foundation? I removed the old bat and poly vapor barrier as it was in bad shape. Can I install new batt then continue with the ridgid insulation as per my plan? My understanding ridgid insulation over an 1.5” is considered a vapour barrier? back ground I’m in southern Quebec Canada directly one the Newport vt border. TIA
