How about picking up the green from the wallpaper? That would also lighten up the room, given that this paper is dark.

The colours are beautiful!!! Do you have a sample in hand of this paper or are you obsessing over what you've found online? It's easy to forget that scale is everything with prints and online pictures can deceive us. (Sharing from experience. :)) I don't think papering 2 walls out of 4 is a good idea. I'd do 1 or all, especially if the room is a simple boxy rectangle. If the ceiling is slanted or has angles of some sort, that might be a different thing. I think this is the kind of decision you can only take once the room is done. Will this paper contrast greatly with the light flooring? You might find that jarring rather than harmonious. Really depends on the kind of colour palette you like. Lighting will play a huge part as well. If you want to ensure a bright room, make sure the lighting is optimized regardless of decor.

But to answer your question ;-), for the wall paint colour, you have a lot of options with this paper: I'd go with a light purple because purple is my favourite colour. Feel free to consider any of the colours from the print. You can colour match anything at the paint store and ask them for a shade lighter if you find it too intense. (Don't forget to test your wall colours on inexpensive art canvases or poster boards on all walls rather than the new walls.)

Make sure the lighting is LED 4000K and I agree all or one wall . I think PRs are the perfect place for over the top wallpaper. I actually often find when you do all four walls the space feels bigger.

Is it this one? The pics I’m finding online show the colors to be much less deep/vivid than yours ... unless I have the wrong one. Where did you see the paper?

Why don’t you do the wallpaper on all four walls halfway up. Do a board and baton or wainscoting for the bottom half.

Powder rooms are a place you can do almost anything. I would put that paper on all 4 walls. I do agree, that you need to wait, until the powder room is done. Dont forget to primer the walls good, before you do the wallpaper.

@tartanmeup I never considered how it would look with the flooring. Maybe you are right that the contrast is too stark.

I know the paper is dark and so I also have samples of the two. below. Do you like these better? Which one? One wall? All walls? What paint colour with it? Like the blue one above, the scale on this is bigger. I have samples of both and the colours (on my screen at least) are pretty true to the real thing.

Oh, good, I’m glad it’s more like the pic you posted. I like the deeper, darker colors. :)

Of these last two, I like the top one, but that’s just my own preference. The bottom seems a bit too kid-like to me.

It’s so hard to say more without seeing the room. I’m sure you already have, but if not, do some searches for ‘powder room wallpaper’ ... ‘powder room wallpaper ideas’ ... etc. Seeing some examples might inspire the direction you want to go as far as papering all walls or accents.

Totally agree with Mlle Jinx above! As for the light floor and dark wall difference being possibly jarring, that’s just an observation. It’s not always easy to visualize a whole room when we fall in love with singular elements. Bet you anything, you might find a bunch of PR pics with light floors and dark walls that you love. It’s a matter of personal preference. The trick is figuring out what makes the space cohesive and harmonious to you because that’s usually when a room sings.

I love the first wallpaper you posted, with the dark background. I much prefer a bold, large floral pattern with a dark background over a white background- it looks more elegant to me. I say do wallpaper on all four walls- one wall looks unfinished in my opinion and won’t make the pattern any less vibrant. Wallpapering two of four walls is an odd choice.

I love the first one too. I dont care for either of the other two.

I really like the first one, and i'd do all four walls. Of the other two, I like the top one w/the pink and yellow. It's not as dramatic as the very first one, but I think it would be lovely on all the walls.

Black for the paint, whether it be for a wall, or wainstcoting.

Or paper the entire powder room.

Just measure for the repeat.

I also was thinking that pairing paneling on the bottom half of the wall with wallpaper on the upper would keep the wallpaper from being "too much" in a more balanced and natural way. It also gives you a way to bridge the floor and wallpaper color.

Make sure you consider all the finishes at the same time to make sure all items coordinate.

IMO the wallpaper selected looks a bit juvenile in style.
