Need to paint kitchen table; color advice please
Comments (7)when you say a 'few shades creamier' do you mean darker? If you mean than then id say that would look nice and if you plan to keep the chairs then I would go darker than the chairs on the table. The subtle contrasts will look better so you don't have it look like you tried to match it all. Make sure whomever paints the table really really preps it well. Funny, I never heard the term banquette? Do you mean the island? Revere pewter is a very pretty color and does have a slight green to it. I almost did it in my halls but am going to do pale oak, which is a more putty color. Good luck with all...See Moreadvice on interior column shape/style
Comments (3)When we added on, we had a support column we had to deal with. We decided that to put one on each end of the room to make it look like the two helped support the north wall (but in fact one supports the west wall) This also gave us a space to run our main drain vent without taking up room in the bathroom. We used wide trim and I painted them with a glazing technique to make them look like marble. The floor is tile so I used colors to match. The near support column is actually supporting a header for the upper ceiling. In the back you can see the vent pipe. Turned out pretty neat. Comments (104)funkycamper, does that mean we should all be cooking over a campfire? ;) Ilyse, here's the KD's plan you like, but it has a range. And below it is one that I posted previously, altered to include a wall oven and pantry at the end. If you keep the 36" corner susan, 30" cooktop, 15" cabinet (I wouldn't go narrower for drawers), and 27" wall oven, there are 23.5" left for a pantry. If you do a 24" wall oven, with a 12" cabinet between the cooktop and oven, then there are 29.5" left for a pantry. I don't know the sizes that pantry cabinets are available. With a wall oven, I don't think there's room for a small cabinet with counter at the end. Adding your measurements. And your current kitchen and your inspiration pic, so that we don't have keep scrolling....See MoreJayKay
