plumorchard, I've tried and tried but I can't find
Comments (3)I found an email I could cut/paste so here it is... Hi - I can't recommend the Bertazzoni I'm afraid. There are a few details posted on the 3 Bertazzoni threads with issues I have had. (Obviously those seem to be gone) Mainly, the delay feature in starting the range. You have to hold the oven door open, push and hold the knob and wait for ignition. This took us about 18 seconds each time to turn on the range. (While holding the door open and the knob down) Also, I never had good results with the oven. The temp was off and it never was quite right. I never could get results that I have had before from other ranges on standard items. (service was out twice and we were deemed "normal" for operations purposes) Also, the oven area is quite small on the 30" range. The space used for the storage area makes the oven smaller. We had the 4 burner - 30" range. Many posters have 36". (And, I know many are pleased and don't seem to have the issues I had, or it the operation of the oven doesn't bother them) I know there are quite a few that are pleased with their ranges, but I was not. I would suggest looking at some other models. Also, try to see one live. (You just can't know until you SEE it - at a minimum download the user's guide from the Bertazzoni site that outlines in detail how to start the oven) There is no way you can understand how this range works without seeing it on. I would not order it online, as I did, because I had no recourse with the issues that I have had with it. (I did write to Bertazzoni and go no response from the retailer, the distributor, or the manufacturer. Since it was such a hassle to use my husband wouldn't use it, my aunt (cooked w/gas all her life!) wouldn't use it and my son, who was just learning to cook wouldn't use it. Also, the cooling fan runs all the time whenever the oven is on. It was very noisy. (The American and a few others Wolf, Blue Star, and not sure of others - let you turn the fan on/off....many do run if the oven is on) Oh, the temp doesn't go that low - I think 275 is the lowest (we use warm sometimes) and the temp knob has very few markings so it is a guess of where you really are on the temp guide. If you can see one, you will notice this. Good Luck, Let me know if you need more info. Hope that helps, but I wouldn't recommend the Bertazzoni....See MoreI am so upset! Comments (12)Well it's a done deal! However I am going to have to be in on the layout of the template on the stone. I reserved enough stone for my island and they have that set aside but have only ONE slab left. And that one has a 2 x 4 ft chunk out of it. There were at least ten from this lot left in January. So...I guess it will be what it is. Beth, I know, that small piece is a chunk out of the lighter part of the slab and in the lighting in the LR it looks much lighter. I do love the swirls of the darker gray however and on the last slab its going to be touchy getting it not to look like a black and white cookie ;) The lighter parts have a little tan color and it just looks dirty, so... Anyway thanks again for cheering me on and I am so glad to have made the decision. With GW help! They should have it installed by the end of the month so I will post pics when its all finished....See MoreTried twice to post, Houzz gets stuck
Comments (4)Add them in comments. Many folks are having a difficult time getting photos to post in the initial post, and AFAIK Houzz hasn’t really worked to hard to try to fix it. Send them a complaint: https://help.houzz.com/s/app-support?language=en_US How I got there was Houzz support at the bottom of every page > submit a request in the upper right corner of the support page. If enough folks complain, they might actually fix it, but I am not holding my breath since it has been happening for more than a month. Their default advice is try a different browser and contact your ISP since it couldn’t possibly be a Houzz problem....See Moretried twice to make a post to this forum and twice it hasnt shown up
Comments (5)So frustrating...really hate that Garden Web sold out.. I do understand that the objectives of Houzz are mainly to sell things and, possibly ideas. I wonder where the actual IT is located and who now somewhat handles it. I just tried to post again with no luck. I love the garden friends on this forum and will continue checking and commenting, but I have begun to believe that Houzz is not interested in the old Garden Web. I don't know if they expected more purchases made than are or just what, but it isn't logical to think a large company would not correct the posting problem in a year if they actually wanted to do so. Maybe they are wanting us to get frustrated, I know that I am not going to spend as much time in frustration as I did last year when the "wheels came off" . this is my preferred forum, but only because it is very like my original and the one I have been on so long, but there is another and I may do most of my posting there. kay...See More- 3 years ago
