tried twice to make a post to this forum and twice it hasnt shown up

I just wish Houzz would get their collective ---- together and fix whatever it was they messed with . I have just tried twice to post to the forum . Nothing , nada, nyet , no sign of it on the main forum page but I have the page loaded on my computer and it shows it as being posted , including my second post on the same .....gonna try again without images and see if it posts. Oh and I have taken screen shots of it so can prove it was posted in case they are interesed

I have had the same happen, frustrating, and why I don't check in more often.

signet your problem is different from mine. I posted this on the Hosta Forum too.

I contacted Houzz and of course they said - make sure you are using the latest versions of Chrome and your operating system, delete cache, cookies, browsing history then restart computer. See if that helps.

I had done all that and it did not help. I told them the problem was at their end.

They contacted me today and asked for a screenshot of the issue.

My response was... I can load pics but they disappear when I hit submit. There is no error screen/number. I told them that from the beginning.

How can you screenshot that?? Very frustrating.

If others would contact Houzz it could be very helpful in getting this issue resolved.

(I started to copy my post and then keep pasting until it goes through. It reduces the frustration somewhat)

Good to know! I almost gave it a buzz cut this morning!!! It looks so good in our bathroom (almost like a spider plant) but as I see the little pitchers growing, I wondered if the stems were not wasting the plant's energy to grow more. I often see pictures of pitcher plants with very few stem (only stems are the ones with pitchers attached) so I thought maybe this was the secret. I was ready to cut 3 off which would have broken the spell of the room. If it doesn't bother my plant I will let it be! :) Can you tell me which fertilizer you use? You mentioned a fertilizer with bat guano? You have a Source? A link? I don't trust the ones in store here (limited options).

I didn't misrepresent anything. The dealer was fine to come out this far to install the thing, but then won't come to service it. I think that's Miele's problem to fix, but we may disagree on it. Again, I didn't buy this off the internet and install it myself, I had a Miele authorized dealer install it at full price but when I need service I'm told I'm on my own. If you read my post, that's the point - service may be great in big city, but in small town it's certainly not and initially before a lot of argument on our part Miele would NOT talk with any non-authorized tech so we were caught in catch-22 (no authorized tech would come, but they will only speak with authorized tech...) If you think a tech making a drive is worth $100/hr, well then I guess you've got a lot more money than we do, but regardless they refused to come at all - they didn't even offer to come at $x/rate. At this point we've got a local tech coming tomorrow, hopefully with the "backordered" part for our "out of date" 2 year old dishwasher and will see what happens. I've yet to ask my wife if she spoke with the same number you're giving me, I know she spent at least 30-60 min arguing with Miele to get any help at all but I want to see if that's the number she called. Have been too busy with other life jobs to have that conversation but will try today before (independent local) tech comes tomorrow

Whatever happened to my photo? From now on I just may have to use total word descriptions. Season your meat any old way you like to have it seasoned. I used the Penzeys only because I got a nice collection of jars for Christmas and love their blends. Before Penzeys (BP) I would use the old fashioned garlic, pepper, fennel, oregano, bay leaf routine with anything else close to my fingers on the spice shelf. I made a meat pie the other night and used steak seasoning for the ground chuck, it worked out fine. Good luck and let us know how it turned out. I plan on collecting all of the names into one post along with the suggestions I am getting from other sources. You guys are the best, though. This issue has come up before on the Kitchens Forum, particularly for inset cabinets which lose more depth than frameless due to inset's cabinet frame. Some people opt to install deeper-than-standard cabinets, both uppers and lowers. So if a standard lower cabinet is 24" deep, people either get 27" deep lowers, or 24" lowers that they pull away from the wall by 3", and then have a 27" counter covering them. Then they get the 15" deep uppers, and no problem storing dishes. That solution will not help the OP, who it sounds like was looking to make his/her cabinets shallower than standard, but perhaps it will help someone reading this thread who has not yet purchased cabinets. I have frameless cabinets at the standard depth, and frameless provide slightly more depth than inset. My dinner dishes are a little smaller at 10.5" diameter (the better to make the food on the smaller dish look more abundant, for us dieters!). Perenn.all I have taken 2 screen shots of the post I was trying to make this morning . I had to do it in two parts as there is so much on the page ( like the headers from sites I am working with that even though I reduced the size of the page I couldn't get it all in one image . . I have tried to contact Houzz before but all I get in return is the same old same old rote reply that says something like ..... thanks for letting us know we are working on it ." but in truth you know they are not .

All this time when I have posted, I hit submit and get an error message saying "there has been an error please refresh the page and when I do the post finally is accepted but it is a real pain it the you know what . I am not sure how they manage the entire site as I know this has been a problem on other forums not just the daylily forum . It is a good way to lose members . You would think it would be important to them .

So frustrating...really hate that Garden Web sold out.. I do understand that the objectives of Houzz are mainly to sell things and, possibly ideas. I wonder where the actual IT is located and who now somewhat handles it. I just tried to post again with no luck. I love the garden friends on this forum and will continue checking and commenting, but I have begun to believe that Houzz is not interested in the old Garden Web. I don't know if they expected more purchases made than are or just what, but it isn't logical to think a large company would not correct the posting problem in a year if they actually wanted to do so. Maybe they are wanting us to get frustrated, I know that I am not going to spend as much time in frustration as I did last year when the "wheels came off" . this is my preferred forum, but only because it is very like my original and the one I have been on so long, but there is another and I may do most of my posting there.
